Brad Johnson on gun control update in Virginia

Brad Johnson December 23rd you know I
00:03
recently read this incredible article
00:05
about it was written by kind of like a
00:08
mathematical statistician on the
00:11
likelihood of catastrophes and he said
00:13
that there’s a 32% chance over the
00:18
course of anybody’s 30-year mortgage
00:20
that their house would be flooded and he
00:22
said that there’s a 37 percent chance
00:25
over the course of anybody’s lifetime
00:27
that there will be a violent revolution
00:30
in the country you live in and he said
00:33
that’s the reason everybody ought to
00:34
have an m60 or 15 because the likely
00:38
that is higher than their house will be
00:40
flooded that there will be a violent
00:42
revolution I got to say watching and
00:44
following the events and reading really
00:46
really good people like really
00:47
conservative level-headed people about
00:50
the events on the attempt at the end run
00:53
around the Second Amendment and what
00:55
seem to be focusing on Virginia it’s
00:57
really it’s something there’s something
01:00
going on what can you give us any kind
01:02
of insight into that yeah it’s very
01:06
interesting in Virginia as is turning
01:09
out to be a testbed I would say for gun
01:13
control and new gun control regulations
01:16
and laws so in essence just kind of
01:20
summing up where it stands the the there
01:23
was a republican-controlled legislature
01:25
for the state of Virginia it lost this
01:28
past election in November it’s December
01:31
now as we do this so in January the new
01:34
crew will be sworn in and take over
01:36
control it would be a democratic run and
01:40
all of the senior you know governor
01:42
lieutenant governor and down the line
01:44
the top four people in state government
01:47
including the legislature are now
01:49
Democrat so what the Democratic governor
01:52
has said he’s very very pro-gun control
01:55
very anti Second Amendment which
01:59
protects gun rights so he’s proposing
02:02
two bills that are going to greatly
02:04
restrict and perhaps confiscate weapons
02:07
from legal gun owners so that’s that’s
02:10
where it stands right now in January
02:12
we’ll be
02:13
we’ll begin to see how this unfolds but
02:15
there’s been a lot of people coming out
02:16
warning about this and saying look this
02:19
is a real problem
02:20
you cannot just ignore the Second
02:23
Amendment and start taking people’s guns
02:25
and so you’ve had a hundred counties in
02:29
the state of Virginia come out and say
02:32
we are not going to waste valuable
02:35
law-enforcement time and money on these
02:37
laws which are unconstitutional anyway
02:41
and so these are counties that are
02:46
pushing back against what Richmond is
02:49
the capital of Virginia and we’re and
02:51
the government is located there so
02:53
they’re pushing back against what the
02:54
governor and Richmond is trying to you
02:57
know voiced off on the entire state and
02:59
and and put in these these laws since
03:02
he’s he’s won a plurality if you will
03:04
for for the state of Virginia he has
03:07
control he’s taking advantage of it to
03:08
push these personal personal gun control
03:11
issues so now of course what that does
03:14
is it creates crime when you take guns
03:16
away from law-abiding citizens you what
03:20
you do then is you have criminals who
03:22
already are breaking the law are
03:25
perfectly willing to illegally have a
03:27
gun on them in order to conduct their
03:29
business which is you know illegal
03:31
activity of some sort or another
03:32
and it’s it’s interesting I mean I would
03:35
say my observation is and and this is
03:36
just something we’ve mentioned earlier
03:38
in Maryland they just went to a guy’s
03:40
house to confiscate his gun without that
03:43
man ever having had his day in court to
03:45
defend himself and then ended up killing
03:48
him there on them on the at his front
03:49
door now that’s the type of thing you’re
03:52
going to see happen and that’s what
03:53
everybody with any you know brains at
03:56
all is looking at this going on and this
03:58
is this is not a good path to go down so
04:00
will it spark something larger in
04:03
Virginia it depends on the governor and
04:07
how aggressive he is if he aggressively
04:09
goes after this and starts to go and
04:12
confiscate weapons from legal gun owners
04:15
yes but it you know this is a this this
04:19
is how big it grows I don’t know but
04:21
will people start to defend themselves
04:22
on that yeah they’re going to so it’s
04:25
it’s going to create some problem
04:26
and what the police do I mean the police
04:29
I don’t know it’ll be interesting to see
04:31
how that plays out law enforcement
04:32
recognizes that they’re being targeted
04:34
by the left and the black lives matters
04:36
group that that goes out in the street
04:38
and chants you know what do we want
04:39
death two cops those sorts of things so
04:42
I mean they recognize that the
04:44
Democratic Party has turned against law
04:46
enforcement and ultimately I mean whose
04:48
side you on on this are you on you’re on
04:50
the side of law abiding citizens or are
04:53
you on the side of criminals and what
04:56
we’ve seen is the Democrats are
04:57
essentially on the side of criminality
04:59
because who’s the big winner if you take
05:01
away the guns from all the legal gun
05:03
owners since the criminals now you don’t
05:04
see them saying well we’re going to go
05:07
knock on the doors of known gang members
05:10
and confiscate their guns you know so
05:13
but we will go knock on the door of a
05:15
legal gun owner and confiscate his guns
05:17
well you know just the enormity of the
05:20
problems with that concept just from the
05:22
get-go are just outrageous so as is this
05:26
goes forward January we’ll find out but
05:28
it does have the potential I don’t I
05:32
think civil war is probably you know to
05:35
bridge too far I don’t think we’d be
05:37
looking at that sort of thing but I
05:38
think what you’ll see is law enforcement
05:41
by and large come down on the side of
05:45
law-abiding citizens and not come down
05:48
on the side of the group of Democrats
05:51
here who are against the Second
05:53
Amendment of the Constitution and I
05:55
think they will look at this and their
05:57
oath to the Constitution and by and
05:59
large will come down on the side of law
06:02
and order versus I don’t know what you
06:04
what you want to call what the Democrats
06:05
are trying to do but for the Democrats
06:08
it’s an emotional issue it’s something
06:09
where they can get money and additional
06:12
political power so that’s why they’re
06:13
playing it out because it plays well to
06:15
their base and it’s something where they
06:17
can always cry you know oh we have to
06:19
protect our children we have to do this
06:20
and you know if you if you don’t agree
06:22
with us then you’re trying to kill
06:24
babies and these sorts of things so it
06:25
lets them have this emotional appeal to
06:28
people who are simple to them in the
06:30
sense of politics that really really
06:31
don’t pay attention and only take a very
06:33
shallow look at what’s going on so
06:35
that’s the base of the Democrats in this
06:38
day and age not the deep thinkers
06:40
and so this is this is where we see it
06:42
going in Virginia how far it goes
06:44
depends on how far the governor goes and
06:46
we’ll see starting in January after they
06:48
get sworn in well there seems to be
06:51
another interesting set of conflicts
06:53
where various police agencies have
06:55
warned their officers that if they do
06:57
not accept an order to go and take guns
06:59
away based on whether red flag laws or
07:02
whatever other reason that they will be
07:04
banned from they’ll be they’ll be fired
07:07
and banned from any kind of law
07:10
enforcement agency to the extent that
07:12
they’re capable of doing so and that’s
07:14
despite the fact that as far as I
07:16
understand that every civil servant
07:18
United States takes an oath to protect
07:20
the Constitution’s like it is really not
07:23
so it is this will play out in court and
07:27
you know if you start banning law
07:30
enforcement if they refuse to follow
07:32
what very likely is an illegal order
07:36
from ever working again in law
07:38
enforcement I mean guaranteed to go to
07:40
court guaranteed to go to the Supreme
07:42
Court and the Supreme Court is is is
07:46
probably going to I mean they’re they’re
07:49
leaning towards supporting the Second
07:51
Amendment of the Constitution I mean
07:53
you’ve got some wack nuts in there that
07:55
will that will probably vote against it
07:57
even though it’s clearly protected by
07:58
the Second Amendment because they’re
08:01
they’re radical they don’t agree with it
08:02
politically so they don’t care what the
08:04
laws are so they’ll get a motor to for
08:06
it but I think I think second amendment
08:08
would be upheld by the Supreme Court so
08:10
those law enforcement were targeted
08:13
hopefully they’ll run a test case
08:16
someplace where the law enforcement to
08:21
that particular Authority will be able
08:23
to protect themselves and take it all
08:25
the way up through the court system I
08:26
mean that’s a tear I think everybody
08:28
would want a test case on this including
08:30
the Democratic governor I think he would
08:32
pick a place where he could do this and
08:34
try to run it all the way up to the to
08:36
the Supreme Court and get a get a ruling
08:38
and I think they would try to run it up
08:39
there pretty quickly because he’s not
08:40
going to be in control here in Virginia
08:42
forever particularly if he does this
08:44
stuff which I think would be all in all
08:46
play very well to his base but would not
08:49
be popular with those swing votes that
08:52
he needs to maintain Democrat
08:54
control of the state of Virginia in fact
08:56
I would say this is going to be what
08:58
part of what plays out in the upcoming
09:01
2020 elections where Democrats are going
09:04
to be in some trouble perhaps even in
09:06
Virginia we’ll see how well Trump
09:08
handles this and but at Virginia was not
09:11
that I mean I think it was 7% in the in
09:14
the last presidential election towards
09:17
the Democrats in the overall state but
09:19
we’ll see this this this election is
09:22
going to be different and you’ve got
09:23
president Trump picking up large
09:25
sections of minority votes Latino even
09:29
Jewish black votes who because of the
09:31
economy doing so well what he’s done for
09:33
them so we’re seeing you know perhaps as
09:36
much as thirty percent of the black vote
09:38
come over to President Trump if that
09:40
does in fact take place including the
09:42
Latino vote and a much smaller Jewish
09:44
vote if those sorts of percentages stay
09:47
true and come over and that’s those
09:49
sorts of numbers I think I think Trump
09:52
could flip Virginia so we’ll see
09:54
we’ll see all the January will be the
09:57
first step and then the following
09:59
November for elections for 2020
10:01
presidential elections will be the
10:02
second step where we see how this plays
10:04
out
10:05
well it certainly puts a magnifying
10:07
glass on the importance of the president
10:10
Trump’s nominations to various level
10:12
court judges we begin to really see
10:16
clearly why if he does nothing else in
10:19
his entire presidency but guarantee that
10:22
the various levels of courts in the US
10:24
are stacked by people that believe in
10:27
the Constitution at the rule of law that
10:29
he’s had an incredibly good and
10:31
important presidency Trump has done a
10:33
bang-up job on judges he really has he’s
10:36
done a good job on justice and getting a
10:38
man and uh and this is where you know
10:41
I’m you know not a huge fan of what I
10:45
see happening by Mitch McConnell and the
10:46
Senate but he has Mitch McConnell has
10:50
really stepped up to the plate and
10:52
helped get these judges through and the
10:55
Republicans in the Senate have actually
10:57
worked hard on that and they everybody
10:59
sort of agrees on that one issue so that
11:01
has gone extraordinarily well so yeah
11:04
absolutely
11:05
kudos to President Trump and his
11:07
administration on getting judges done
11:10
and that’s in the face of full head and
11:12
wins in every little place where the
11:14
Democrats can resist they have and and
11:17
that is where Mitch McConnell haven’t
11:19
been around so long shines and has been
11:22
able to get them through so yep that
11:24
that part’s going well and Trump has
11:26
done a fantastic job on that

  1. I believe that they want population control soo badly, lives don’t mean anything young, old, good or bad.
What I can see on the horizon is beyond words to describe. Complete Lawlessness !!! With all my heart I pray 🙏 the Lord will take me home to be with Him. I can’t stand seeing our children being sexualized in schools. They know what dangerous decisions they’ve made !!!
