Zogby did a poll that’s interesting – Zogby poll is a warning FOR the Democrats .The poll says that 70% among independents disapprove of how the country is headed and vast majority 63% were unhappy saying that Biden was doing a poor job. Only a very small percentage just over 10% thought he was doing a good job. The economy is the number one issue, no surprise at all on that. Inflation is a big deal amongst young people. And 2023 is probably going to be much worse for inflation. There’s a lot of pressures that is going to be there.
Democrats are losing the independent voters, and everybody kind of agrees politically that you’ve got to be able to bring over independent voters. Where the disagreement takes place is how that’s accomplished. All you have to do to know is look to Reagan. Reagan is the only guy in any recent history since, I believe, long before World War II, who achieved the level of success with independent voters of this scale. Maybe Roosevelt did, I don’t know, but Regan won 48 or 49 states. His re election, and most of those states were all very liberal.
Zogby did a poll that’s interesting. All of these pollsters are left wing – so if they talk bad about Democrats – you know there is a signal being sent there. Amazingly, they’re still pulling out. They’re trying to send it a signal to the Democrat Party, which is what we have happening here.
This poll is not some sort of rightwing conservative sort of thing. Zogby poll is a warning FOR the Democrats -“here’s a weakness – now you’ve got plenty of time to fix it.”
