Black Lives Matter has been the subject of many political and cultural opinions. Some argue that they’re a racist hate group that promotes violence. Others defend them claiming that they stand against injustice and are a voice for the oppressed. However, in light of the recent horrific terrorist attack by Hamas against Israeli civilians, infants, and tourists from other nations, BLM has voiced support for the Palestinians who elect and support Hamas.
BLM activists have been known to promote violence in the past. “What do we want? Dead Cops! When do we want them? Now!” was a viral BLM video from a few years ago. The increase in calls for defunding police departments, increased animosity towards law enforcement, and elected Democrats all across the nation voicing support for these policies all point to BLM being comfortable openly promoting violence against police officers and wielding enough influence in the Democratic party to affect policy positions. It is also worth noting that actual attacks against police offices, including assassination attempts against active law enforcement and shootings of police all increased during the height of BLM influence.
Their philosophy of violence against certain groups being justified continues to this day. Only a few short days after Hamas terrorists brutally murdered countless civilians in Israel, a BLM organization openly and proudly voiced their support for those same Palestinian people who put Hamas in power. BLM repeated the tired lies about an apartheid state and how Israel is a colonizing power, completely denying the thousands-long history of Jewish people being native to the land and the region.
Now that BLM has voiced support for the Palestinians who elected and support Hamas terrorists, it is undeniable that the organization promotes the use of violence against people who have done nothing wrong. BLM’s track record of calling for murders and assassinations clearly matches their open support for one of the most well-known anti-semetic terrorist organizations in the world. Such an open call of support for terrorism should end any discussion or disagreement about how to view the organization known as Black Lives Matter.
