While the true condition of Kim Jong Un remains unknown, Brad Johnson, retired Senior CIA Operative and President of Americans for Intelligence Reform, says information continues to leak from China. Clearly there is a health problem, but the extent is unknown. While Un’s demise wouldn’t be surprising given his poor health, the sister is whom to watch. Kim Yo-Jong, clearly the front runner, may succumb to foul play given the history of family violence to gain power. Brad suggests we turn our eyes to watching the health of Yo-Jong.

Brad Johnson it is April 26 2020 and one
00:05
of the really big stories that’s being
00:07
occulted by the virus craziness is it
00:13
sure looks like the leader of North
00:15
Korea Kim jung-un I think it is has died
00:18
during a botched stent operation and is
00:22
there any update on on what do you think
00:25
is gonna happen in North Korea
00:26
yeah and just in the last few days since
00:29
our last update the conversation has
00:31
just kind of shifted to the side that
00:34
that something’s wrong with the the
00:37
North Korean dictator so he when we
00:41
spoke last time there was a lot of
00:42
reporting saying now we don’t know for
00:43
sure and I mentioned that out of South
00:45
Korea for example now the South Korean
00:47
reporting is kind of shifted back like
00:49
something’s clearly wrong we don’t know
00:50
what yet and so now the question is not
00:53
you know did it happen and kind of how
00:55
bad is it now it’s sort of like how bad
00:57
is it or is he dead there are there is
01:00
some kind of very preliminary reporting
01:02
saying that he’s passed away there’s
01:04
some reporting that is that he’s that
01:06
there was this botched stent operation
01:09
to his heart and look we all look at the
01:12
guy I mean he was somebody that clearly
01:14
wasn’t putting off that last drink or
01:17
the last you know muffin or doughnut or
01:20
whatever it was if he liked to eat that
01:22
was making him so heavy so I mean and
01:24
he’d had problems in the past like as he
01:27
got so heavy and overweight he was
01:29
having those knee and ankle problems and
01:31
stuff so this is something that’s been
01:32
building the fact that as a young man
01:34
he’s got heart problems shouldn’t be a
01:35
particularly surprise to anybody a lot
01:37
of doctors doing this you know standoff
01:40
examination looking at the photographs
01:42
of him and all of that we’re all saying
01:43
I know this kids a walking heart attack
01:45
you know a little surprising that it’s
01:48
happened in his 30s perhaps but ker
01:50
these files are coming so it makes a lot
01:53
of sense but that’s also part of what
01:55
fuels these conversations now one of the
01:58
changes that’s happened is some of this
01:59
information is starting to leak out at
02:01
China we all know that basically North
02:04
Korea is a client state of China they
02:07
could not exist without China their
02:09
economy doesn’t exist without China all
02:11
of those things so
02:13
they’ve got the inside track there and
02:15
if he were in help as some of the media
02:17
reporting is saying medical help that he
02:20
would call China and China would send
02:21
these doctors in to help him so that’s
02:24
kind of where we find ourselves today
02:25
but like I say the the flavor of this
02:28
thing overall has changed quite a bit
02:29
now because the reporting is that
02:31
there’s a problem everybody kind of
02:33
agrees on that it’s the depth of it so
02:36
something like I said some of the
02:38
reporting is that he’s in a vegetative
02:40
state that he’s in a coma or something
02:43
like that or perhaps no oxygen to the
02:46
brain for a period of time so that the
02:47
brain died
02:48
you never know I remind everyone of a
02:51
lot of this sort of reporting had gone
02:52
on previously for example with a similar
02:55
type type dictatorship where it was a
02:58
one-man show and that was with Fidel
02:59
Castro and the last few years of his
03:01
life there are always rumors that he
03:03
died and they had this emergency surgery
03:05
he had to have a bunch of his intestines
03:07
taken out because of botched surgery
03:09
very similar circumstances and the
03:11
rumors were going back and forth about
03:13
whether he was dead or not and and Cuba
03:15
was essentially a client state of Russia
03:17
so very closely paralleled situations I
03:20
grant you there’s other plot
03:22
other differences as well but
03:23
nevertheless one-man show in a country
03:26
and these rumors just were rife for
03:27
months it was going on so this could
03:30
this could again go on for months it’s a
03:32
similar type situation even more so
03:34
they’re even more closed than in Cuba so
03:38
you know I wouldn’t count on anything
03:40
yet I mean he may show back up in videos
03:43
again in in a couple of weeks and he may
03:45
already be buried or cremated or
03:47
something and have been dead for a few
03:49
days – we just don’t know with that
03:51
closed society but it’s going to be
03:53
apparent fairly quickly they’ll either
03:55
if he’s brain-dead you know they’re
03:58
going to have to do something at some
03:59
point a couple of other things to
04:02
remember about this situation the he had
04:06
an older brother and a younger brother
04:07
and his sister and the older brother got
04:09
assassinated and was killed gee I wonder
04:11
who did that so we we know perfect any
04:15
speed killed and uncle he’s killed some
04:16
other relatives and things just to make
04:18
sure that he has this control on power
04:20
the uncle thought he was a young
04:24
excuse me a young stupid kid that he was
04:28
going to take over and watch that kid
04:30
out of the max and ended up being
04:32
executed for his trouble trying to try
04:35
to take cover so that’s just a cough not
04:40
covered so he it’s it’s one of those
04:43
things where this this this family now
04:45
with the sister helping him all along
04:49
the way did all of these things killed
04:52
other family members a sibling and a
04:54
uncle and all of this to make sure they
04:56
were in power so I mean completely
04:58
ruthless and enforcing this stuff the
05:00
question is I were kind of circling back
05:02
but the question is will this will the
05:04
sister be able to maintain control
05:06
because she’s clearly the the main
05:07
lieutenant their most trusted lieutenant
05:10
therefore the the current dictator if
05:12
he’s still alive
05:13
and the younger brother he’s like plays
05:15
in a band and goes off to concerts and
05:17
stuff he’s non-political not a player so
05:20
unless something else happened to really
05:22
change the situation he’s not going to
05:24
be in it but there’s other relatives
05:26
still alive still in North Korea is
05:28
still involved so will it repeat what it
05:31
did when the current you know dictator
05:35
took over from his father who took over
05:38
from his father the grandfather you know
05:42
in this previous iteration there was
05:44
bloodshed there was fighting for it so
05:46
there is some recent history that I
05:49
think we could expect to repeat itself
05:51
so if he is dead
05:52
I think the sister is going to have to
05:54
prove that she’s willing to take in
05:56
control I think she’s still the
05:58
front-runner there are other people
06:00
probably in the in the back wings that
06:04
might think they’re in a better position
06:05
it would be her relatives so I think
06:07
again it’s it’s going to be one of those
06:08
things where they’re either already
06:10
afraid they’ve already proven their
06:12
loyalty to this point by me and they
06:15
haven’t been shot or it’s gonna be
06:17
bloodbath but if they if they’re gonna
06:19
try to take over they’ve gotta kill the
06:20
sister so I think that’s what we kind of
06:22
have to watch if the sister is alive
06:25
then she’s in charge if she’s dead well
06:28
then obviously she’s not in charge that
06:30
somebody else is so I think that’s the
06:31
key to watch for is the sisters health
06:33
and and then of course just to see if
06:36
the dick
06:36
shaders alive or dead actually and by
06:38
that same token if there’s a couple of
06:41
missing cardiologists from the Pyongyang
06:43
hospital then you know you probably know
06:46
he’s dead
06:46
yeah they don’t do well with failure in
06:49
that country so yeah I wouldn’t be
06:51
surprised if they were executed and
06:53
that’s kind of a I guess an Asian thing
06:56
they would have lost face and there was
06:58
some precedent for that certainly in
06:59
China with different cases Chairman Mao
07:02
and he died that doctor was looked at
07:03
pretty hard too they were originally
07:05
gonna execute him although he ended up
07:07
living and escaping and writing an
07:09
excellent book about how Chairman Mao
07:11
was in real life I think I might look
07:14
into that thank you very much Brad
07:16
Johnson it’s on the shelf behind me it’s
07:18
a good one
