00:14
do
00:21
welcome to the vernuccio novak report
00:24
from new york this is frank fernuccio
00:28
this is brad johnson from washington dc
00:31
and we are thrilled to have brad guest
00:33
hosting today brad as you know he’s been
00:35
on our show before
00:36
is a retired senior observation officer
00:39
and former chief of station
00:41
with the central intelligence agency he
00:43
is now
00:44
the president of the americans for
00:46
intelligence reform
00:48
brad it’s great to have you particularly
00:50
on this topic we’re going to be talking
00:52
about
00:52
for our first segment as you know the
00:55
president
00:56
is moving troops from germany to poland
01:00
uh on the face of it it seems like a
01:02
great idea
01:03
both in the fact that poland has been a
01:05
much more staunch ally
01:06
and a much more dependable contributor
01:09
to nato defense
01:10
than germany has been of late as well as
01:13
the fact that poland is more on the
01:15
front lines of where american troops
01:17
need to be
01:22
i think that’s that actually sums up
01:23
pretty nicely and i couldn’t agree
01:25
more uh in my career i have spent time
01:28
in poland and have worked with the polls
01:30
on
01:31
different things and there’s just no
01:32
question that they’re uh
01:34
they’re far more reliable and certainly
01:36
have been and with their history
01:38
uh just going back to world war ii prior
01:40
to world war ii poland was
01:41
it still is a beautiful country but it
01:43
was a beautiful strong
01:44
independent country and in world war ii
01:47
the nazis came rolling through and the
01:49
polls put up a defense having almost no
01:51
military with which to fight back
01:54
they still put up a very valiant defense
01:56
charging
01:57
you know tanks with horses and things
01:59
like that and uh
02:00
they’re very brave people in the face of
02:03
that
02:04
and uh unfortunately the when the nazis
02:07
took over and came
02:08
through they slaughtered them by the
02:09
thousands and uh
02:11
when the uh the russians rather than the
02:14
soviet union came in after the at the
02:16
end of the war where they took over
02:17
they again slaughtered the polls by the
02:20
thousands and
02:21
they are still digging up mass graves
02:23
i’ve visited some of these
02:25
areas and they’re still digging up mass
02:27
graves from world war
02:28
ii uh where the poles were slaughtered
02:30
so they
02:32
as a culture understand that uh
02:35
it that they need allies in this world
02:37
just like we need allies in this world
02:40
and so it’s a it’s a natural good fit in
02:42
just every way
02:43
culturally uh militarily they understand
02:47
why
02:47
a good relationship with the united
02:49
states is so important for their
02:50
independence and
02:52
not to become a target again and be
02:54
slaughtered by the thousands like
02:56
they’ve been
02:57
and that’s very recent history you know
02:58
back in the in the
03:00
late 30s and early 40s i mean that’s uh
03:03
there are people alive who
03:05
whose you know parents or grandparents
03:07
would have been
03:08
killed in that in those attacks so it’s
03:11
it’s recent memory for these people
03:13
and as you pointed out absolutely
03:15
correctly they’ve been
03:16
very valuable wonderful allies to us and
03:19
i my only regret is that we didn’t make
03:21
some of these moves earlier
03:24
great point there’s a question i’ve been
03:25
dying to ask you with your vast
03:27
experience
03:29
is it possible that the leadership of
03:31
germany
03:34
some of whom at the very highest levels
03:36
originated in
03:37
east germany have just such a different
03:40
world
03:40
view than the rest of western europe
03:42
that perhaps
03:43
that explains their rather odd decisions
03:46
particularly with regard to their
03:48
failure to commit live up to their nato
03:50
commitments
03:51
as well as being on the wrong side of
03:53
the iran issue
03:57
yeah you know i you bring up interesting
03:59
points i i don’t know if it’s tied back
04:02
to the to the necessarily their world
04:05
perspective as
04:06
is that it’s it’s some sort of alternate
04:09
universe sort of thing
04:10
but definitely
04:13
uh the people that are in charge there
04:15
are the socialists the extreme left-wing
04:18
now they would have certainly inherited
04:20
some impetus for that out of the east
04:21
germany
04:22
uh period of you know culture so yeah
04:25
they may have been brought up that way
04:27
where they just think communism and
04:29
socialism are
04:30
good uh like i can’t imagine being more
04:33
wrong
04:33
than that but i think germany
04:35
unfortunately uh
04:36
has has lost its way and and is kind of
04:39
soulless following world war ii they
04:42
they were
04:43
so destroyed by nazism
04:46
uh that they’ve just never recovered and
04:48
have never stood back
04:49
up as a german people which you know if
04:52
you
04:52
throw out the period of nazism you know
04:55
germany had fine periods too where they
04:57
did a lot of good things
04:59
and and were a constructive force in the
05:01
world uh
05:02
certainly they’ve been involved in a
05:04
number of wars in europe but still that
05:05
you know
05:06
that’s a balanced situation so i think
05:09
that in the situation where they’ve
05:10
never recovered as a
05:12
people uh from nazism that now we’ve
05:15
seen the
05:16
socialist strong socialist takeover uh
05:19
without any real opposition in germany
05:21
because the responsible people are
05:23
are afraid to stand up because they
05:25
think they’ll be called nazis so
05:27
i think it’s one of those things where
05:29
it’s opportunism
05:30
by the communists or socialists that
05:32
have have taken control there and
05:34
angela merkel is probably one of the
05:36
worst things to happen to germany’s
05:37
sentence monsterism
05:39
so i i i shudder to think how this is
05:42
going to work out because
05:44
she’s bringing in migrants by the
05:46
thousands
05:48
to make sure that her party and her
05:50
perspective will continue to win
05:52
in future elections and this of course
05:54
is the game plan of the left
05:55
everywhere including what we saw under
05:57
obama here in the united states so it’s
05:59
a
05:59
real problem i’m i’m i’m worried a great
06:02
deal about europe
06:03
uh western europe in particular uh with
06:06
the way they are
06:07
and i i will have to see how that plays
06:09
out i would amend only one thing that
06:11
you said angela merkel has not only been
06:13
a problem for germany i think she’s been
06:14
a problem for all of europe
06:20
i’m willing to go along with that that
06:22
she’s been a larger problem than just
06:23
for germany
06:24
i think there’s there’s little question
06:26
of that and she’s certainly at the
06:27
forefront
06:28
of this movement to bring in these
06:29
illegal uh migrants and
06:32
and require the eu to stuff them into
06:35
every
06:35
nook and cranny we do have the few
06:37
countries like hungary for example
06:40
that are that are kind of bravely
06:41
standing up to face uh that
06:43
down and you know congratulations to
06:45
them on having the courage to do so
06:48
so there is push back and uh hopefully
06:50
the germans will wake up and
06:51
and come back as a people and uh and
06:55
kind of
06:55
uh you know hit a correct zone in which
06:58
to operate
06:59
and uh be a peaceful democratic country
07:02
working for stability and
07:04
and knox extremism you know going back
07:07
into the period between the two wars
07:09
um you had mentioned that germany before
07:13
nazism came in was in many ways an
07:15
enlightened country
07:16
some of the things that they had in
07:17
terms of educational opportunities
07:20
in terms of things like workers
07:21
compensation they were a pioneer in that
07:23
field
07:24
um were certainly advances and yet
07:28
a people so civilized so learned so
07:31
intelligent
07:32
fell to the nazi regime do you ever
07:35
wonder do you ever have the nightmares
07:37
that when we see antifa when we see
07:40
black lives matter
07:42
and the support they have gained from
07:44
much of the media
07:45
and from american corporations that
07:47
perhaps in some ways the united states
07:50
is in danger of being similar to the
07:52
position germany was in
07:54
at the sort of the end of the
07:56
streisemann period at the end of the
07:58
period uh between the two wars when the
08:00
nazis started coming in
08:01
and totalitarian impulses started taking
08:04
over the nation
08:08
oh yes i mean there are many many
08:10
parallels with what we’re seeing now
08:12
uh compared to the uh early german years
08:14
in the same mid
08:15
30s in that area where the nazis started
08:18
to grow as a force and in fact
08:20
uh they may not think so but antifa and
08:23
black lives matter and the socialist
08:24
communist movements
08:25
in the united states now that are out on
08:27
the streets rioting emulate
08:29
almost perfectly the the nazi rise to
08:31
power and let’s not forget
08:33
uh adolf hitler was elected
08:36
he won the election and came to power
08:39
legitimately in germany and so of course
08:41
that
08:42
that is what exactly what they’re
08:44
attempting to recreate here
08:46
and although they of course wouldn’t
08:48
openly admit to that
08:49
but german nazi party was the national
08:52
socialist german workers party it was a
08:55
socialist
08:56
movement a left-wing party and that is
08:58
being taught
08:59
today at the university and school
09:01
systems here at high system that it’s
09:03
something other than what it was
09:04
it was a socialist movement and what we
09:07
see in the streets today
09:08
are a socialist movement they’re using
09:10
all of those same tactics the german
09:12
nazis had the brown shirts
09:14
and went out and started physically
09:16
attacking people
09:17
and the only change today is the nazis
09:20
uh targeted the jews and later murdered
09:22
them in great numbers
09:24
and what we see here now are the are the
09:26
white people in the united states are
09:27
the new jews
09:29
and they’ve already started attacking
09:30
them in the streets we see
09:33
video clips that people have taken all
09:35
of the time of this lady just yesterday
09:38
that came out was sitting in a
09:39
restaurant
09:39
she herself was a liberal she herself
09:41
had been protesting with black lives
09:43
matter
09:44
she was a supporter of their cause but
09:46
while sitting at a restaurant refused to
09:48
raise her fist and she refused to be
09:51
intimidated
09:52
and they berated her it’s only one
09:54
little tiny step
09:55
to where and this is something we’ve
09:56
seen happen in many places where they
09:58
then begin to beat her
09:59
and once you start beating people who
10:01
don’t agree with you it’s only one more
10:03
little time step to start killing those
10:05
people where you beat them to death
10:06
and they’ve been other cases with antifa
10:09
in portland for example where
10:10
an old lady in a wheelchair was roughed
10:12
up and beat up and and people have been
10:14
badly beaten by these people
10:16
only because particularly because
10:18
they’re white but also be
10:20
only because they don’t agree with them
10:21
politically and that case of the mother
10:23
the 34 year old
10:25
mother only three four weeks ago
10:29
uh was accosted in park and told you
10:32
know black lives matter black lives
10:33
matter and she retorted
10:35
all lives matter and for that those
10:37
people that had confronted her
10:39
waited ambushed her in the park and
10:42
murdered her on the spot
10:43
so we’re already seeing all of these
10:45
tactics precisely
10:47
as they were used by the nazi brown
10:49
shirts playing out in the streets of the
10:51
united states right now
10:53
and the money for this in some in many
10:56
areas are coming from
10:57
the chinese communist party because they
10:59
want to see these uprisings in the
11:01
street
11:02
they want to weaken the united states
11:03
resolve against them and
11:05
president trump’s resolve against them
11:07
they want to see joe biden win who’s had
11:10
a very good relationship
11:11
with china and has always voted pro
11:14
china look at his record he’s very proud
11:17
communist chinese and so they’re moving
11:19
behind the scenes to do this
11:21
the hacking and all that stuff that gets
11:23
blamed on russia all the time
11:25
it’s china boys and girls they’re the
11:27
ones doing most of the hacking
11:29
and they’re the more serious problem in
11:32
interfering with our elections
11:33
but you don’t hear the democrats talk
11:35
about that at all
11:37
no no let’s go to our first guest dr
11:40
carol lieberman is a board-certified
11:42
psychiatrist with a master’s in public
11:44
health
11:45
uh dr lieberman welcome to the program
11:48
thank you your latest book uh
11:52
lions and tigers and terrorists oh my
11:54
tell me a bit about that
11:57
sure uh i am a born and bred new yorker
12:01
and although i was not in new york i
12:04
moved out of new york by the time 9 11
12:06
happened
12:06
to california i my heart
12:10
is still in new york and so when 9 11
12:12
happened
12:13
i decided to devote um a large
12:16
part of my work to helping people
12:20
cope not only with the memories of 9 11
12:23
which really are still affecting us and
12:25
now of course it’s been
12:27
doubled and quadrupled because the
12:28
coronavirus and the riots and so on
12:31
but um not only to get over uh to deal
12:34
with
12:35
the memories of 9 11 but also to cope
12:38
with living
12:39
in a world where there is an ongoing
12:41
threat of terrorism i mean just because
12:43
we are all preoccupied
12:45
with um coronavirus and the riots and
12:48
the election now
12:50
does not mean that terrorists have
12:52
stopped planning to attack us
12:54
and in fact actually uh
12:58
this is this is getting to be this is a
13:00
dangerous time because
13:02
so many people in lockdown are having so
13:05
much time on their hands
13:06
and they are of course trolling the
13:08
internet and coming across
13:11
uh propaganda from isis and al qaeda so
13:14
we may the seeds may be being planted
13:17
or i mean they are being planted amongst
13:20
other things
13:21
uh that the terrorists are doing for
13:23
attacks when we are
13:25
more out of our homes and you know in
13:27
crowds
13:28
and more easily accessible to terrorists
13:31
so that book lions and tigers and
13:34
terrorists are my how to protect your
13:35
child in a time of terror
13:37
is a book the first half is for parents
13:40
and teachers grown-ups
13:41
and the second half is a picture book
13:43
for kids and it’s basically how to
13:46
talk to kids about terrorists how to
13:48
build resilience really a lot of the
13:49
things that i talk about in terms of
13:51
resilience
13:52
are good for kids in today’s you know
13:54
the terror
13:55
um terrors that are going on in today’s
13:59
world
14:00
it seems there are two problems one of
14:02
course is not being obsessed with the
14:05
fear of terrorism but isn’t there
14:07
another one as well
14:08
simply ignoring the reality of terrorism
14:11
and it seems to some extent in our
14:13
country uh when you ever mention the
14:15
threat of terrorism sometimes you get
14:17
back people saying well you’re being
14:18
islamophobic
14:20
you’re being hysterical is that not an
14:22
issue as well
14:24
yes but yes that that and that’s called
14:27
his psychiatry terms that’s called
14:29
denial
14:30
um you know i’ll give you
14:34
some examples from 9 11
14:37
uh starting after 9 11
14:40
there has been an increase in a lot of
14:43
things that are now
14:44
increasing even more like obesity the
14:47
obesity epidemic
14:48
that started when after 9 11
14:52
when people started eating comfort food
14:55
to
14:55
deal with the feelings their anxiety and
14:57
ptsd and depression and so on
15:00
from 9 11 and and it has continued and
15:04
increased
15:05
similarly people developed
15:08
problems sleeping you know and that has
15:11
increased
15:12
uh you know especially with what’s
15:14
happening now there are
15:16
uh other things you know like suicide
15:18
and
15:19
and cutting in especially in teenage
15:22
girls and
15:23
all kinds of factors like that if you
15:24
look at a chart you can see that the
15:27
increase started after 9 11.
15:31
where do we go then from here in in
15:34
terms of trying to tell our children
15:35
be careful be alert be aware but don’t
15:38
be obsessed
15:42
with terrorism or with everything that’s
15:44
going on
15:45
i i think that’s a very good point with
15:48
both with everything that’s going on
15:50
well here’s the key there you know there
15:52
are some similar kinds of um
15:55
principles basically to that parents
15:57
should think about
15:58
and that is first of all to not pretend
16:01
i mean this is the typical thing
16:03
with terrorism and of course now um
16:07
now it’s a little harder to pretend that
16:08
these things don’t exist but with
16:10
terrorism in particular
16:11
parents um didn’t talk to their kids
16:15
about terrorism because they were hoping
16:17
that it would go away before they ever
16:19
had to tell kids about it well
16:21
you know the truth is that the kids knew
16:23
a lot more and know a lot more
16:25
about it than the parents think and in
16:27
fact i think
16:28
that that is what has influenced the
16:31
generations
16:33
that started you know that were born and
16:36
were growing up
16:37
during the years after 9 11
16:40
because um they the
16:43
impact on their parents like if they
16:45
were just born or if they were very
16:46
young
16:47
the impact on their parents of feeling
16:49
helpless
16:51
because of the attack on our soil
16:55
and in such a fiery way
16:58
that has made these children you know
17:01
now growing up
17:03
or having grown up made them more
17:06
feel like they need more of a government
17:08
to protect them
17:10
and feel like they need you know uh to
17:13
get
17:13
handouts basically from the government
17:15
and to get all kinds of to be
17:17
you know to coddle them because of this
17:21
feeling that became transmitted to them
17:24
during those years after 9 11. but but
17:27
parents
17:28
parents need to understand that kids
17:30
know a lot more than they think they do
17:32
because they watch television uh they
17:34
look on the internet and so on
17:36
and so the first thing would be that you
17:38
have to have these discussions
17:40
whether it’s about terrorism coronavirus
17:43
the riots in the street
17:45
defunding the police you know that’s
17:48
an interesting one because of course
17:51
depending upon what the parents
17:53
opinions are whether they believe in
17:55
that or not they’re going to skew
17:57
how they present it to their children in
17:59
that way but
18:01
all parents need to understand that kids
18:04
learn from a very early age before
18:06
all this mess they’ve learned that mr
18:08
policeman
18:09
is your friend and um and if you get
18:12
lost or if you get hurt
18:14
or someone in your family gets hurt or
18:17
that that’s what you do you call 9-1-1
18:19
or you go to the corner
18:21
and find your policemen and so even
18:24
people who think that it’s an okay idea
18:26
to defund the police uh first of all
18:28
aren’t thinking about terror attacks
18:30
besides you know the usual things we
18:32
call 9114
18:34
but um but that is very scary to kids
18:38
to think that mr friendly policeman
18:41
is not going to be there when i need him
18:43
who is going to protect me when i’m not
18:44
with mommy and daddy
18:46
so there are all the you have to talk to
18:48
your kids about these things that’s
18:50
number one and number two is you can’t
18:52
pretend that you feel a certain way
18:55
if that’s not really how you feel
18:56
because they will see right through you
19:02
you know i i want dr lieberman if i may
19:05
uh
19:07
go right ahead brad i was going to ask
19:09
if
19:10
okay thank you i was going to ask just
19:13
out of curiosity
19:14
on the basis of of the post 911
19:17
psyche if you will that that that had a
19:19
lot a very deep
19:20
impression on a lot of people especially
19:22
the younger crowd those people who’ve
19:24
now
19:25
are a little bit older but are now in
19:27
circumstances where they’re so isolated
19:29
something you referred to
19:30
earlier are they much more susceptible i
19:34
there is some data coming out showing a
19:37
lot of negative impact of the
19:39
isolation that’s that’s uh required uh
19:42
out of covid
19:43
and of course many argue that that’s
19:45
political in nature versus driven by the
19:47
actual medical facts
19:49
and so there’s a lot of back and forth
19:51
there’s also data coming out that
19:53
there’s been a lot of negative mental
19:54
health
19:55
impact out of that and i’m just curious
19:57
your take on that
19:58
is it truly much worse among this group
20:01
with
20:02
kind of on the heels relatively speaking
20:04
of 911
20:06
is that group worse off hit
20:09
harder than say during normal times when
20:12
they haven’t had a one-two punch
20:15
that’s a very good point and can
20:18
explain for you know the college crowd
20:22
or
20:22
i mean the teenagers or younger
20:26
people people who you know were more
20:28
affected
20:29
by their parents being more affected by
20:30
9 11.
20:32
that could explain why that’s one of the
20:34
reasons in any case
20:35
for why we’re seeing these people
20:39
uh have these parties you know covert
20:41
parties
20:42
uh like this is such denial or to show
20:45
that
20:46
um that they’re stronger than this it’s
20:48
it’s uh
20:50
trying to pretend that you’re not afraid
20:53
um big lockdowns not so much coronavirus
20:56
but the lockdowns have had
20:58
a devastating mental impact on everyone
21:01
i mean i think
21:02
you’re right though that is triggering
21:05
some of the feelings that these
21:06
younger people had that relate to 9 11
21:09
uh
21:10
the after effects of 9 11 um
21:13
and but we’re all you know anxiety
21:16
depression ptsd
21:18
uh suicide um you know
21:22
it is having an effect after these
21:25
the calls to suicide hotlines went up
21:28
not after coronavirus began but after
21:32
the lockdown
21:33
began you know that wasn’t right away
21:35
and that’s when they saw the uptick
21:38
in calls to suicide hotlines so
21:43
and in fact before coronavirus uh
21:46
there have been studies about isolation
21:49
and loneliness
21:50
uh on people nothing to do with
21:52
coronavirus just those
21:54
factors and they it showed that if they
21:57
create
21:58
physical and psychological
22:01
damage physical like heart attacks and
22:04
strokes
22:04
particularly on the cardiovascular
22:06
system and
22:08
the immune system of course and um
22:12
and then psychological issues like i
22:14
just mentioned
22:16
now you’re concentrating on on terrorism
22:19
and uncovered
22:20
but i’m wondering if there’s something
22:21
even longer standing
22:23
um during the cold war period and i
22:26
think
22:27
after a brief break after the fall of
22:29
the soviet union and then returning
22:31
later when putin attained power the
22:33
united states and
22:34
most of the west have been in jeopardy
22:35
from forces in russia and china
22:39
our educational system and i think many
22:41
of our parents
22:42
have tried to deny that to say that you
22:44
know everything is safe the world is
22:46
full of friendly people who are just
22:47
like you and don’t really want to hurt
22:49
you
22:50
has that imparted on an entire
22:52
generation perhaps a false
22:54
view of the world
22:57
well you know of course those who grew
23:00
up in the aftermath of 9 11
23:02
see that that’s not really true and so
23:04
if their parents are telling them that
23:06
you know our world our whole world is
23:08
safe then they kind of realize that
23:11
that’s a disconnect so they’re realizing
23:13
that their parents aren’t exactly
23:15
telling them the truth
23:16
but um but i do think that for everyone
23:20
i think this was
23:20
pretty much of a surprise uh the china
23:24
virus or the you know
23:25
the coronavirus coming from china
23:29
i think that woke up a lot of people uh
23:32
to how should the fact that there may
23:36
well be
23:36
nefarious i mean we’ve known you know
23:39
communist china and what they’re doing
23:41
and so on it’s not like that was a
23:42
surprise but
23:43
what the surprise was was how perhaps
23:46
they
23:47
are trying to do something to the united
23:50
states
23:50
perhaps they’re not as friendly as we
23:52
were kind of just
23:53
um and again i’m not talking about the
23:55
chinese people i’m talking about the
23:57
communist party in china
23:59
um so it’s it’s all it did wake people
24:02
up to the idea that maybe huh maybe
24:04
this is a country to be feared
24:09
you know people say very bravely
24:12
uh never again when they’re talking
24:14
about the horrors of world war ii in the
24:16
concentration camps
24:18
but yet never again is happening again
24:21
we see it in china with the uyghurs
24:23
and yet there has not been the type of
24:25
reaction one would expect from those
24:27
folks
24:28
you know all of us who are good people
24:30
who are you know
24:32
certainly believe that we would have
24:33
told hitler what to do you know
24:35
and not let him do what he’s do what he
24:37
did but aren’t we letting the chinese to
24:39
some extent
24:40
do the same thing shouldn’t there be
24:42
more of a
24:43
is there a kind of psychological impact
24:45
on people
24:46
to deny the reality of what’s going on
24:49
in terrorist countries and terrible
24:50
countries like china
24:53
yes you don’t really hear much about
24:55
uyghurs
24:57
i i do a podcast a weekly podca
25:00
cast called the terrorist therapist show
25:03
and every week i take the top
25:06
top news and terrorism and talk about it
25:08
and i have talked about the uyghurs
25:11
but i must say when i was doing that
25:13
show before i did that i really didn’t
25:15
know that much about them and what
25:17
communist chinese were doing to them and
25:20
uh because we don’t really hear about
25:22
that much in the mainstream media
25:25
and so i think that’s part of it another
25:27
part of it is oh that’s something that
25:29
that’s happening in that part of the
25:30
world you know what are we going to do
25:33
um and i i think people feel
25:37
um helpless in terms of being able to
25:41
change that but it really is a huge
25:44
number of people
25:45
the uyghurs who are in camps and um
25:49
and what’s interesting what i was
25:50
talking about in my show when i did it
25:52
was
25:53
uh when i did that episode was how
25:56
they have a thing where a rule
26:00
where they have
26:03
communist men
26:06
going to the homes of the women
26:10
whose husbands are in these uyghur camps
26:12
so in other words
26:13
the families where there’s a wife who’s
26:15
been left alone because her husband is
26:17
in the camp
26:18
they send men into these homes
26:21
and they try to say the communist
26:23
government tries to say that they’re not
26:24
sleeping with the
26:25
wives but they are and um and they’re
26:29
trying
26:29
to you know to get the wives to
26:32
uh to reject their husbands and
26:36
and reject uh uighurism reject you know
26:39
their beliefs
26:40
um and come over to the communist
26:43
chinese beliefs
26:45
i mean that really i mean i don’t i
26:47
don’t know if you’ve heard about all of
26:48
that but
26:49
it really is uh there are all kinds of
26:52
um
26:53
corrupt kinds of uh ways
26:57
to to that they’re acting against the
27:00
uyghurs
27:03
brad your experience with this dr
27:05
lieberman uh i’m
27:06
curious go ahead go ahead
27:10
no go ahead i was just going to ask
27:13
thank you
27:14
uh dr lieberman on what’s your
27:17
experience in dealing with young people
27:18
if i dare may call them
27:20
uh snowflakes with that age of young
27:23
people out there when they’re faced with
27:25
these
27:26
harsh realities when they’re told the
27:28
harsh realities of things like the
27:30
uyghurs which
27:31
uh besides the you know forcing uh
27:34
chinese communist party members into the
27:35
homes where they’re doing things like
27:37
there’s a tens of
27:38
dollar industry of where they’re
27:40
harvesting organs from the uyghurs they
27:42
murder them
27:43
the young people in particular who have
27:45
the stronger hearts and and different
27:46
organs for sale the chinese are making
27:48
millions of dollars out of that and
27:50
some of the extremist uh terrorist
27:52
groups out there that are the
27:54
islamic extremist groups where they’re
27:56
teaching their children to kill
27:57
and to slit throats and take videos and
27:59
cut heads off and
28:01
things that they’re doing on a daily
28:02
basis and there are other
28:04
evil players out there in the world
28:06
doing these terrible things
28:08
what is the reaction of the snowflakes
28:11
to these
28:12
harsh realities is it better to put it
28:15
in front of them so they see the reality
28:17
of it
28:17
or is that something they’re just simply
28:20
unable to process
28:21
how do they respond to things like that
28:24
that are actually
28:25
happening out in the world and are so
28:27
evil and so dangerous
28:29
and these people are just not going to
28:31
stop they’re not going to change their
28:32
mind
28:33
there’s nothing you can do to convince
28:34
them to stop because it’s
28:36
a part of their way of life
28:39
well i think it is very important to
28:43
teach young people about these things
28:47
because um they’re not really
28:49
concentrating
28:50
i don’t want to say you know nobody is i
28:52
mean yes there are some people
28:54
some younger people who are um
28:56
definitely uh concerned with the plights
28:59
of people all over the world who are in
29:02
less
29:03
who are in dangerous circumstances or
29:05
less fortunate circumstances but for the
29:07
most part
29:08
it is denial and it is gimme gimme gimme
29:11
um
29:13
and you know just really concentrating
29:15
upon for
29:16
on themselves like i was saying before
29:18
about uh
29:19
um you know wanting to
29:23
be given things having a social let me
29:26
just say it
29:27
having a socialist kind of government
29:29
where you’re given things where you’re
29:31
provided for
29:35
what’s the explanation then that does
29:38
let me just add something so if if there
29:41
was more
29:42
i mean the teaching clearly what this
29:45
has shown the
29:46
um particularly the riots what this has
29:49
shown you know where teachers are giving
29:51
instructions
29:52
to the kids on how to topple statues for
29:55
example
29:56
i mean i was shocked when i read about
29:58
that um architectural teachers in
30:00
particular but
30:01
teachers in general joining the riots
30:03
and uh
30:04
promoting the riots and all that i’m not
30:06
talking about peaceful
30:07
protest i’m talking about riots um
30:11
you know but where and certainly
30:12
coupling statues
30:14
isn’t part of a peaceful protest um
30:17
but i think that that there does need to
30:20
be
30:20
we need to take a better look a closer
30:23
look
30:23
at what is being taught in schools i
30:26
mean some of this
30:27
uh has really unveiled some things that
30:31
have been going on for a number of years
30:32
now but
30:33
um and haven’t been checked you know
30:36
haven’t been
30:37
uh looked scrutinized um
30:40
to see what kids are learning that is a
30:42
big part of the problem
30:44
and so if they were taught some of these
30:46
you know real history like that’s kind
30:48
of what you’re talking about in real
30:50
past history current history um
30:53
and that might well make them feel more
30:56
pride in america
31:00
brad you were going to say
31:05
yes precisely she hit on some of this
31:08
exactly the educational system
31:11
and it seems to me and i would wonder if
31:13
she agrees on her thoughts on it but it
31:15
seems to me that
31:16
kind of the core problem here is that
31:19
our school system
31:20
uh beginning in grade school all the way
31:23
through the university system
31:25
teaches uh indoctrination it doesn’t
31:28
teach
31:28
critical thinking anymore so no longer
31:31
does it present
31:32
fact and details to the students so that
31:35
they can make up their mind and they can
31:36
extrapolate from that
31:38
you know how they should think and
31:40
behave and all those things
31:41
now it teaches that there is one way to
31:43
think one way to believe
31:44
and uh it’s it’s it is a form of
31:47
indoctrination
31:48
more than education and you hinted at
31:50
something precisely like that
31:52
i’d be curious just to hear your
31:54
thoughts in general on that
31:56
and what is the way out of that trap how
31:58
do we
31:59
fix that problem
32:02
yes um you’re right
32:05
i mean this is something that you know
32:07
we it’s kind of ironic we look at the
32:10
communist china and at
32:14
how they’re trying to send men into the
32:16
homes the uyghurs and you know
32:17
indoctrinate them and
32:19
and doing other things to indoctrinate
32:21
and the terrorists also of course i was
32:23
talking earlier about how
32:24
um there they have all this propaganda
32:27
online and now during the lockdowns more
32:29
people are watching it and so on
32:31
um so you know in a sense i mean can we
32:35
claim innocence i mean is that not what
32:38
we’re doing in some schools
32:40
from elementary schools all the way to
32:42
colleges
32:43
i think there is a growing you know i i
32:46
think it’s so shocking because
32:48
you just wouldn’t expect that something
32:50
like this would happen
32:51
in america or how did it happen when no
32:54
one was watching
32:57
great points dr lieberman there’s so
32:58
much more we want to discuss with you
33:00
can we have you back soon
33:02
sure thank you so much that’s dr carol
33:05
lieberman her latest book is
33:07
dreams and terrorism dreams interrupted
33:10
her groundbreaking book is called
33:11
lions and tigers and terrorists oh my
33:18
we’re going to our next guest uh judge
33:21
john wilson many of you know john wilson
33:23
from our
33:24
from previous programs he’s also been a
33:26
co-host on the program
33:28
he has one of those careers which i’m
33:30
waiting for the made for tv
33:32
movie to come on he sat on the bench in
33:35
new york city
33:36
he then became a prosecutor on an indian
33:39
reservation
33:40
that is a made for tv movie right there
33:42
and most importantly he’s a regular
33:44
columnist
33:46
uh usc policy.com hey judge john wilson
33:49
welcome back to the program
33:51
good afternoon how is everybody doing
33:54
great great to be with you
33:55
um i know you had a
33:58
column in the recent fordham university
34:01
newspaper the observer
34:03
about fordham’s decision to basically
34:06
keep off campus a young man
34:08
who simply voiced his support for the
34:10
freedom of the people of hong kong
34:13
what does that tell us about the larger
34:15
educational
34:16
picture in the united states today and
34:18
it’s funny how this dovetails with the
34:20
last bit of conversation
34:22
we had with our prior guest dr lieberman
34:25
well i wish it said something positive
34:27
about that state of affairs but it
34:29
doesn’t
34:30
uh embarrassingly i must admit that i am
34:32
a fordham college graduate
34:34
as am i by the way class of 1983
34:37
i went to the rose hill campus this
34:39
little controversy has risen on the
34:42
lincoln center campus but a student
34:45
named austin tong
34:47
posted a photograph of himself holding a
34:49
rifle
34:51
he was on private property and the rifle
34:53
is legally owned
34:55
members of the fordham community claimed
34:58
they felt unsafe
34:59
by mr tong’s exercise of his second
35:02
amendment rights
35:03
and made a complaint to the dean of
35:06
students
35:07
who then issued a series of draconian
35:10
disciplines against mr tong including
35:13
some re-education
35:14
which was quite ironic considering mr
35:17
tom coming from a
35:18
communist country where re-education is
35:20
the way that
35:21
uh any expression of freedom is handled
35:24
so uh i saw an article uh
35:28
unfortunately i i had the misfortune of
35:30
reading this article
35:31
that was published by a student who
35:34
thought that the university was well
35:36
within their rights to
35:37
uh sanction this uh fellow student
35:40
for exercising his rights and i felt
35:43
compelled
35:44
to remind the school that
35:47
they accept federal funding and as such
35:50
they accept the strictures
35:54
of federal law
35:57
so they can’t uh claim well we’re a
35:59
private uh school we can just do
36:01
whatever we want
36:02
that’s just not how the law works and i
36:04
thought it was necessary to remind the
36:06
students there of that uh
36:08
that state of affairs
36:11
john as an experienced attorney
36:14
judge prosecutor and so forth you had a
36:18
chance to take a look at the activities
36:19
of antifa
36:20
and the activities of black lives matter
36:23
it is it appropriate
36:24
to define them as terrorist
36:26
organizations
36:28
absolutely antifa are the brown shirts
36:31
of the modern era
36:32
and as such their entire
36:36
reason for existence is to terrorize
36:38
people
36:39
they go out into the streets dressed in
36:42
black with their faces covered
36:44
and create mayhem black lives matter has
36:48
become a communist front
36:50
and while they’re using what could be
36:53
considered a very
36:54
sympathetic title for their organization
36:57
they might as well call themselves all
36:59
kittens are good
37:00
they have the exact same motivations as
37:03
any communist organization any front
37:05
that’s just using a sympathetic name
37:10
brad in your experience you know
37:13
go ahead i was just going to say this is
37:18
a
37:18
very interesting topic to me and i
37:20
couldn’t agree more on the
37:22
metaphor about the brown shirts of
37:23
course referring to the nazi party
37:25
i uh i was curious now having been a
37:29
judge
37:29
drawing from that experience how do you
37:31
see the legal system today i mean
37:33
one of the things i’ve often made the
37:35
point about is is we see
37:37
what has infected in my opinion
37:40
the judicial system is this political
37:42
corruption
37:43
i think certainly what we’ve seen at the
37:45
fbi and their investigation of president
37:48
trump
37:48
and the missed use of the fisa program
37:52
all of these sorts of things to me
37:54
reflect a very deep
37:55
political corruption within the legal
37:57
system particularly at the leadership
37:59
level but it also works his way
38:01
well down into the legal system and
38:03
certainly i i would imagine you’re
38:05
familiar with
38:06
activist judges which to me activists
38:08
judge is essentially somebody
38:10
who doesn’t care what the law says what
38:13
they care about is their political
38:14
perspective
38:15
and believe that to be more important
38:18
than the actual law
38:19
so i see uh we’re kind of an i’m on the
38:22
cusp of
38:22
a breakdown of of belief
38:26
and use and protecting the constitution
38:28
the united states
38:29
plus all of those federal and state and
38:31
county laws and regulations
38:32
all the way up and down where it seems
38:35
like almost where your personal
38:36
political beliefs are just more
38:37
important now than the law
38:39
and that seems to be what’s playing out
38:41
on the streets with black lives matter
38:42
and
38:43
antifa their political beliefs justify
38:46
uh beating people up and breaking
38:48
windows and burning down businesses and
38:50
all of that and
38:51
and we all know that that’s illegal and
38:53
wrong and yet
38:54
many of these county and state
38:55
governments do nothing
38:58
let’s break this down a little bit if we
39:00
can let’s go back to the
39:02
obama administration for eight years the
39:05
obama administration
39:07
radically reformed the justice
39:10
department
39:11
uh removed through retirement or
39:14
separation
39:15
a series of non-political attorneys and
39:18
appointed
39:19
a series of political attorneys
39:21
including in u.s attorney positions
39:24
these attorneys remained in the justice
39:27
department
39:28
when president trump came into office
39:30
now
39:31
if i’m going to fault president trump
39:33
for anything
39:34
it was not clearing out the justice
39:36
department as soon as possible
39:38
because when president trump got into
39:41
office those
39:42
obama loyalists in the justice
39:44
departments
39:46
in the department are the ones who were
39:49
responsible for a lot of the leaks
39:51
and were responsible for a lot of the
39:54
illegal activities
39:56
that have been justified uh
39:59
for instance the uh the uh the fisa
40:02
abuses
40:03
and all of the uh uh outgrowth of that
40:07
were a result of those obama appointees
40:09
being left in
40:10
their positions so i think president
40:13
trump would have been justified in doing
40:15
an entire
40:16
wholesale cleaning of the justice
40:18
department as soon as he walked into
40:20
office
40:20
to remove those political operatives
40:22
that might have put us in a different
40:23
position
40:24
than the one we’re in today brad as
40:27
president of the americans for
40:28
intelligence reform could you say the
40:30
same thing happened with the
40:32
with the cia perhaps in the fbi as well
40:39
yes i would say precisely that and uh
40:42
yeah kevin of being being a creature
40:44
of the swamp if you
40:45
having spent 25 years of my life there
40:47
it i think it began with state
40:49
department immediately on the heels of
40:51
world war
40:51
ii and it was something that worked over
40:53
and over and over and so was done
40:55
to uh fbi cia nsa basically all of the
40:59
federal
41:00
agencies and is now well underway within
41:03
the military and
41:04
as uh as the judge i believe correctly
41:07
pointed out it is
41:08
it was uh that same tactic as what was
41:10
employed
41:11
in the department of justice so i would
41:13
say that this this tactic this
41:15
way of manipulating and politically
41:19
corrupting
41:20
the federal government is essentially
41:21
across the board i would
41:23
i would love to be able to appoint to
41:25
some
41:26
bastion of actual integrity somewhere
41:29
within the federal government but i
41:30
don’t see it anymore and
41:31
yeah i would be equally critical of
41:33
president trump who i support greatly
41:35
uh and certainly will be before but i i
41:38
agree that’s one of the things
41:39
uh where he as a non-political
41:43
professional didn’t recognize i believe
41:46
early on just how dangerous leaving
41:49
those partisan pacts in
41:51
office was to his administration i think
41:54
he understands it now we’ll find out
41:55
after he gets reelected
41:58
john i think there’s one common factor
42:00
that all americans are feeling right now
42:02
and that is
42:03
they’re watching the latest riots in
42:05
kenosha they’ve watched what’s going on
42:07
continuously in portland and new york
42:09
and
42:09
other places and a lot of them are
42:12
saying look we know the politicians are
42:14
trying to tie the hands of the police
42:16
but for heaven’s sakes what’s going on
42:18
with local district attorneys
42:21
state attorney generals who seem
42:23
reluctant in indeed not only reluctant
42:25
to prosecute these lawbreakers
42:27
but almost seem to support them what do
42:30
you say to those who are
42:31
so baffled by that turn of events i
42:34
think it’s more of the same problem
42:36
after eight years of the obama
42:38
administration
42:39
and the strength of the democratic party
42:41
in these districts they’ve appointed uh
42:45
as as brad called them political hacks
42:48
who just do what they’re told and the
42:50
higher-ups in these administrations
42:52
are telling these district attorneys not
42:54
to prosecute these cases
42:56
the governors of these states are not
42:58
calling out their national guards and
43:00
not really taking enforcement measures
43:02
that are necessary to put down this
43:04
insurrection
43:06
you know switching topics a bit um
43:09
i i think a lot of us were surprised by
43:11
some of the recent rulings in places
43:13
like virginia
43:14
where the now said that you don’t even
43:17
need to verify a mail-in ballot
43:20
or in nevada where a last-minute piece
43:22
of legislation was passed
43:24
basically in the dark of the night um
43:26
indicating that you could do mail-in
43:28
ballots without verification
43:31
have it seems that this is an all-out
43:34
attempt on the part of the democrats to
43:36
really
43:37
weaken ballot security you know we spoke
43:39
about
43:40
for almost three years the myth
43:43
of a russian collusion turned out to be
43:45
totally false
43:47
but in fact aren’t we seeing an attack
43:49
on the integrity of our electoral
43:51
process
43:52
on a massive scale due to all these
43:54
weakenings of ballot security
43:56
absolutely um i i haven’t read those
44:00
decisions so i’m not going to pretend
44:01
that i know whether the judges
44:03
are democrats or not but i think the
44:05
odds are very high that if you look at
44:07
the background the judges who made those
44:09
decisions
44:10
they’re not republicans
44:13
the the right to vote is one of the most
44:16
fundamental rights that we as citizens
44:18
have
44:18
in in this republic and it is crucial
44:22
that not only do you all participate in
44:25
voting
44:25
but that our vote be counted properly
44:28
and if
44:29
these states are going to allow a
44:32
weakening of the
44:34
protections that we have to make sure
44:35
that our vote is properly
44:37
counted you just know that there’s going
44:39
to be a wholesale attempt
44:41
to uh to steal the the election in these
44:44
particular states
44:46
i think the trump people are smart
44:48
enough to know that these efforts are
44:50
ongoing
44:50
to steal the election in certain
44:52
locations
44:54
uh i’m sure that there’s uh court
44:56
challenges that are
44:57
proceeding forward and and i have some
45:00
confidence that uh when the smoke all
45:02
clears
45:04
the right result will be achieved after
45:06
the november election
45:08
let me address this to both of you
45:11
former secretary of state john kerry
45:13
basically said that there should be
45:15
violence in the streets if
45:16
trump is reelected former secretary of
45:19
state hillary clinton
45:20
just recently stated that under no
45:23
circumstances
45:24
should joe biden ever concede the
45:26
election
45:28
to my years that sounds like saying
45:30
we’re not going to
45:31
agree with the results of this election
45:33
unless it goes our way
45:36
brad from a perspective of someone
45:38
who’ve seen other countries under
45:40
totalitarian systems
45:42
does this seem somewhat similar are we
45:44
sliding into some kind of
45:46
dark hole with these type of statements
45:48
from formerly very highly placed
45:50
officials
45:53
yeah yes i would say absolutely i think
45:55
that’s certainly the
45:56
push by the left in the united states
45:58
they want to
46:00
invalidate elections by hooker by crooks
46:03
so that they can
46:04
essentially do away with them in main
46:06
control which you you speak about
46:08
my background in other countries i’ll
46:10
point out that they had election believe
46:11
i don’t
46:12
go in belarus reigning dictator there in
46:15
belarus claimed
46:17
absolute victory by you know huge margin
46:19
180 of the vote and of course
46:21
the uh all of the polls and everything
46:23
and the and the people’s reaction and
46:25
the
46:25
million people in the street protesting
46:27
prove that that’s all false but
46:29
i think that’s precisely where the where
46:31
the democrats are headed that is their
46:33
their goal how far they’ll get i don’t
46:36
know but i i
46:36
would be stunned to to learn that the
46:40
mail-in ballots are going to be
46:42
completely clean and not manipulated to
46:44
try and
46:45
and uh you know illegally change votes
46:47
so
46:48
i i think that that there’s very little
46:51
pushback
46:51
and they seem to be kind of succeeding
46:54
so
46:55
i don’t know how uh how deep this will
46:57
go and how long and can it be stopped
46:59
but at least uh president trump winning
47:01
again will do something
47:03
to move things in the right direction
47:05
john you devoted yourself to the law
47:08
when you hear things like this basically
47:10
saying they don’t care about the
47:11
constitution i mean how does that strike
47:13
you i mean do you think there’s any way
47:15
out of this for
47:16
that percentage of people who are simply
47:19
almost irrationally
47:20
[Music]
47:22
saying that unless they win an election
47:24
doesn’t count
47:25
i’m going to make a couple of
47:26
predictions in response to your question
47:29
number one i’m going to predict that
47:32
there is a silent majority
47:34
that is going to step up and vote
47:36
overwhelmingly for
47:38
president trump and i believe that he
47:40
will be re-elected
47:41
by a good margin now saying that
47:44
there’s two other predictions i might
47:46
make if the democrats succeed
47:48
in attempting to steal this election you
47:51
may
47:52
see president trump lose the popular
47:54
vote
47:55
just like in the election with hillary
47:57
clinton you may see that difference
48:00
however you will see president trump win
48:02
the electoral college
48:04
now will that then create uh an outcry
48:08
from these democrats and from their
48:10
leaders
48:10
of course it will will it border on
48:13
civil war
48:14
yes it might just because i’ve heard
48:17
that some of the
48:19
leaders in some of the democratic
48:20
jurisdictions claim that they might want
48:22
to succeed
48:24
i will also predict let them try i
48:26
believe those to be empty threats
48:29
and i believe they’ll whine and cry for
48:32
the next
48:32
four years what i’m really worried about
48:35
and here’s my
48:36
final prediction what i’m really worried
48:38
about is 2024.
48:41
2024 is when we really have a stark
48:43
choice
48:44
between an outright democratic
48:48
and name-only communist and a republican
48:52
and that’s where i fear that the country
48:54
which has a habit of going back and
48:56
forth between the two parties
48:58
may may finally succumb to this
49:00
communism that’s that’s my great worry
49:02
and that’s my prediction for the future
49:07
john as a fellow new yorker former new
49:09
yorker
49:10
um i’m sure you followed the news of
49:12
your old hometown
49:14
uh you’ve heard that mayor de blasio has
49:16
said that
49:18
he is imparting rights to black lives
49:20
matter in terms of being allowed to
49:22
demonstrate in violation of covet
49:23
regulations
49:24
that he’s not giving to other groups uh
49:27
you’ve also heard that he’s saying
49:28
things like restaurants can’t
49:29
open until after a vaccine is on the
49:32
market
49:33
he said that he doesn’t believe in
49:35
private property
49:37
how far can a politician like that go
49:41
in many cases openly in defiance of the
49:44
bill of rights
49:45
and yet no court no board of ethics
49:49
no conflict of interest board as there
49:51
is in new york city
49:53
ever seems to step up and take up the
49:55
issue
49:57
well as we all know in new york all
49:59
those
50:00
institutions are controlled by democrats
50:02
he is a democrat mayor he hasn’t done
50:04
anything
50:05
that uh isn’t in keeping with the
50:07
democratic philosophy
50:09
so he continues to keep on keeping on
50:12
the only reason
50:12
or the only way to oppose this behavior
50:16
is for filing lawsuits in federal court
50:19
i’m surprised the restaurant association
50:22
of new york hasn’t brought a case
50:24
in the federal courts i’m surprised let
50:26
me just jump in there for one second
50:28
uh a restaurant association just
50:30
yesterday
50:31
mentioned that they are doing a lawsuit
50:33
against the mayor for keeping
50:35
restaurants closed
50:36
as well they should this is this is
50:38
exactly the only way to fight
50:41
this sort of conduct if a leader
50:43
oversteps his bounds
50:44
then those persons who are having their
50:47
rights violated
50:48
must go to court and at this point i’d
50:50
recommend that they go to federal court
50:52
because
50:52
i don’t think they’re going to get any
50:54
justice in the the local state courts
50:57
brett you’ve seen in places like ukraine
51:02
infiltration of formerly democratic
51:04
small d
51:05
political parties by agitators from
51:09
russia and so forth how do you see
51:12
the future of the democratic party in
51:14
the united states certainly this is not
51:16
the party of harry truman
51:17
it’s not the party of john f kennedy
51:20
this is a party that seems to have been
51:21
totally dominated
51:23
by extremists we were just talking about
51:25
mayor de blasio
51:26
he’s a guy who cheered on soviet troops
51:29
as they were in nicaragua
51:30
he honeymooned in havana of all places
51:34
what is the future of the democratic
51:36
party from your international
51:37
perspective
51:41
yeah that’s a very interesting question
51:42
and don’t forget james
51:44
comey uh former fbi director
51:47
and john brennan former cia director
51:51
both notoriously had voted communist in
51:54
their youths so
51:55
there’s a very very strong undertone of
51:59
of communism within the democratic party
52:02
and i would say if you look at
52:03
aoc and i i forget what they call the
52:06
the group of the four ladies they’re
52:08
calling rat pack which i’m sure they
52:10
won’t appreciate yeah the squad rat pack
52:13
for me
52:13
anyway you know it’s it’s they’re
52:15
promoting communism
52:17
and i just have to say i might
52:20
one thing i’ve seen almost all of the
52:22
rest of the world i mean certainly the
52:24
majority of it
52:25
and i’ve just got to say that socialism
52:27
and communism
52:29
always claim to be what will bring
52:32
social justice to
52:33
to all humanity and those sorts of
52:35
things but
52:36
our system here in the united states of
52:39
america the capitalist
52:40
free economy free uh money
52:44
type of system creates more social
52:47
justice than everything else put
52:49
together
52:49
so if you believe in social justice if
52:51
you believe in protecting our weak and
52:54
downtrodden and helping people out and
52:55
giving a
52:56
hand up and all of those things there’s
52:58
only one way to be able to do it and
53:00
that’s
53:00
the front of the demo democracy and
53:03
capitalistic system
53:04
and while all of those things present
53:06
this case of
53:08
that that’s what they want they’re just
53:09
like the democratic party of today and
53:11
and this extreme
53:12
leftist position that they’ve taken well
53:14
they they say
53:15
one thing but what they do is always
53:18
different and if just take new york
53:20
moving all of the people that had covid
53:22
19 into the retirement homes
53:25
where those senior people were all
53:26
infected and died
53:28
i mean that was a political decision and
53:30
i would i would be case for the judge is
53:32
why is there not some sort of legal
53:34
liability for those sorts of things even
53:37
whether civil court or criminal court
53:40
why can’t those sorts of decisions be uh
53:44
you know taken to court in some way or
53:45
another is there no
53:47
possibility of that being a legal issue
53:50
i i’m sorry which decisions are you
53:52
talking about
53:53
governor cuomo’s decision to put all the
53:56
covert patients into
53:57
old age homes where they cause massive
53:59
amounts of debt
54:00
oh absolutely uh the persons who were
54:03
affected by that that is the family
54:05
members of the persons who died
54:07
there’s absolutely no reason they
54:08
couldn’t bring a civil lawsuit
54:11
against governor cuomo in fact they
54:13
could bring a class-action lawsuit on
54:15
behalf of all
54:16
uh persons who lost their lives as a
54:19
result of this
54:20
and sue the governor for uh for his
54:22
actions
54:24
whether or not they’re successful i
54:25
can’t say i haven’t seen the evidence
54:27
but based upon those allegations yes i
54:29
can answer your question
54:31
most assuredly uh those parties chose to
54:33
do so they could uh combine together
54:36
and bring a lawsuit it’s been a great
54:39
conversation and
54:40
ends all too soon brad johnson thank you
