Americans for Intelligence Reform

Brad Johnson, President, and retired CIA Senior Officer and Chief of Staff. Insight into current events from an intelligence angle.

What the dismissal of Dana Boente tells us about AG Barr

Although very much under radar, U.S. AG Barr’s dismissal of FBI General Council Dana Boente foreshadows Barr’s future moves in the Flynn case. That is the prediction of Brad Johnson, former Senior CIA Operative and President of Americans for Intelligence Reform. Boente was one of the signers authorizing General Flynn’s FBI investigation. Does this portend criminal charges are headed Boente’s way? And who is next? Stay tuned.

Brad Johnson it is May 31st 2020 and an
00:04
interesting firing took place which is
00:07
the sort of thing that for the rest of
00:08
us would go completely unnoticed it
00:11
certainly did by me but it’s one of
00:13
those things that very possibly contains
00:15
much more important meaning and I’m
00:18
hoping that you can explain to us what
00:20
that is yeah this is an interesting
00:23
thing and it’s kind of in stealth mode
00:25
it’s it’s being reported but it’s kind
00:27
of typical the way that mainstream media
00:29
and even you know Fox News is becoming
00:32
very mainstream media they’re not the
00:34
conservative outlet or the fair and
00:36
balancedh outlet that they used to be so
00:38
it’s kind of going and going maybe not
00:42
completely below the radar but really
00:43
low to the earth so it’s not getting
00:45
picked up by a lot of people anyway
00:46
enough there’s a guy named Dana Boyd a
00:50
who is the US Attorney for the Eastern
00:53
District of Virginia that’s a big deal
00:55
that’s a big spot he was put in there by
00:58
none other than President Obama he was
01:01
selected by Obama and put into that spot
01:03
and he’s just been let go
01:06
what’s interesting out of all of this is
01:07
it didn’t come from the White House it
01:10
came from the Attorney General so that’s
01:13
the man those guys all the US Attorney’s
01:15
work for the US Attorney General Barr
01:19
and so that was the person who made the
01:21
call
01:23
ultimately made the decision now what’s
01:25
interesting out of that too is he was
01:27
one of the main guys that was in this
01:29
whole Flynn Fiasco it’s now completely
01:33
blowing up in the face of all these
01:34
liberal activists that went out there
01:36
and did this thing so it’s it’s a very
01:40
interesting little piece of this and for
01:43
all of those people that are waiting for
01:44
the indictments and all of those things
01:46
I would look at this is very indicative
01:47
of a lot of other stuff coming so it’s
01:50
it’s it’s I think it portends a lot of
01:54
problems for a lot of these guys now
01:55
this guy if he were one of the people to
01:58
be indicted one of the very first steps
02:00
they would take is firing so he was told
02:03
that he had to leave which he did and he
02:07
of course had plenty of time to retire
02:09
so he he is in fact actually
02:12
hiring from his position in the as a US
02:16
attorney for the Eastern District of
02:17
Virginia but this he was one of the guys
02:22
that signed a warrant authorizing the
02:25
FBI surveillance of Flynn so I am just
02:30
you know it’s one of those things it’s
02:31
hard to tell but I would say it’s one of
02:34
those things where he clearly was judged
02:37
to be guilty enough of something to fire
02:43
now whether that carries over to the
02:45
criminal that’s where we have to stand
02:46
and be you know to kind of hold the
02:48
flower place and watch and see what
02:49
happens but I’m predicting he’s one of
02:52
these guys that’s going to get in
02:53
trouble and I think this is what this
02:54
part ends I think that’s why the
02:56
Attorney General took this act right now
02:58
and I have to say this is one of those
03:02
things that President Trump not being a
03:04
politician is actually has has made
03:08
mistakes and one of those mistakes is he
03:11
hasn’t cleaned the house he hasn’t
03:12
cleaned is really his own house and one
03:14
of the things that can be done is fire
03:17
all those guys that are the US
03:18
Attorney’s and that is the Clinton when
03:21
he came into office fired every single
03:23
one of the US attorneys but one every
03:25
one of those guys and so it’s it’s
03:26
routinely done where where presidents
03:28
will come in and fire a bunch of those
03:29
guys Toronto needs to get on that on
03:32
that and and start firing these guys
03:34
that are left over Obama people that are
03:36
there stabbing him in the back but these
03:38
are these resist movement people that
03:41
are still there this guy is one of them
03:42
so he’s now probably culpable of
03:45
something a lot more I would be as I
03:48
said I think this portends indictments
03:50
out of the Flynn case and I think this
03:52
would be the first step they have to
03:54
fire these people and get them out of
03:55
office so there you know civilians and
03:57
then they can go in and investigate them
03:59
criminally and that’s probably exactly
04:01
where this is headed so a prediction on
04:03
that we’ll see how it goes
04:05
that’s very interesting thank you just
04:07
by the way how many did Clinton fire I
04:11
mean how many of these people are there
04:13
oh you know I don’t know for a fact I’d
04:17
have to look it up but I mean we’re
04:19
talking something along the order of you
04:21
know you know maybe 90 or 100 or
04:23
something or
04:24
I don’t know so don’t get mad at me all
04:26
those people out there that are lawyers
04:27
and know the number off the top of their
04:29
head but we’re not talking about 10 or
04:31
15 or something we’re talking about a
04:33
few score so it’s it’s a significant
04:36
effect yeah it’s a significant event
04:46
you
