brad johnson it is january the 3rd of
00:02
2021
00:03
and uh the mayor of portland who
00:06
until now has been just an
00:10
extraordinarily
00:11
obstinate character in terms of antifa
00:13
he’s been
00:14
seemingly funding them if not funding
00:16
them certainly enabling them in every
00:18
imaginable way
00:20
um denying their existence even when
00:22
they took over
00:24
they took over the lobby in either his
00:26
own building or his own apartment or
00:27
something
00:28
i mean he’s just done everything he
00:30
could to enable
00:32
antifa and now here we are a couple of
00:34
days before the
00:36
possible inauguration of joe biden as
00:38
president
00:39
he’s he’s done an about face what do you
00:40
think all this means i mean you know
00:42
i don’t want to steal your thunder but a
00:45
part of me just can’t help but think
00:47
that this entire charade was about
00:48
making president trump look bad
00:53
well i i don’t think there’s any doubt
00:56
that there’s
00:56
that there’s truth in that to one degree
00:59
or another i mean
01:00
i don’t know that that’s the uh
01:03
the main motive for antifa who’s
01:06
actually conducting these
01:07
these riots and has taken over these
01:10
these
01:11
areas of downtown but i would say
01:13
certainly on the part of ted wheeler
01:16
uh i would say that was a very large
01:18
motivation for him
01:20
that he most assuredly wants to do this
01:22
stuff to embarrass president trump
01:24
now that you know this is like you know
01:26
in his mind the election is over
01:28
and biden’s coming in it’s it’s time
01:29
where he can kind of ease off the
01:31
throttles
01:31
so that from his perspective may be part
01:35
of the reason why
01:36
he’s done uh something of a turnabout
01:38
now going back a bit
01:40
this this is not the the first attempt
01:42
there was uh
01:43
you know antifa tried to take over an
01:45
area of portland uh i don’t know what
01:47
four or five months ago too uh when it
01:49
first started happening well longer ago
01:51
than that now when it first
01:52
started happening in seattle kind of on
01:53
the heels of that and they had a lot of
01:55
riots downtown and there was a lot of
01:57
film coming out of portland of that
01:59
older couple that you know late 60s
02:01
early 70s somewhere around there where
02:03
they were just driving their sedan and
02:05
they got attacked by antifa for just
02:07
driving
02:08
through near that area and damage to the
02:11
car and so the guy sped off went down a
02:13
block
02:13
stopped got out of his car to look and
02:15
the antifa people were chasing him down
02:17
the street to attack him again
02:19
while the portland police were standing
02:21
there watching now
02:23
in defense of the police this is one of
02:25
those things where
02:27
they know that that
02:30
mayor wheeler does not have their back
02:33
and if they do anything against antifa
02:36
it’s going to be their rear end that’s
02:37
in trouble not the antifa guys
02:40
so they’re in a very tough position
02:42
where they’re having to stand by and
02:43
watch
02:44
you know old people attack and the old
02:45
lady in the wheelchair and things like
02:47
that
02:47
and they’re really they’ve kind of got
02:49
their hands tied and this is all back to
02:51
mayor wheeler
02:52
this is this guy’s fault and his
02:54
responsibility
02:55
and he’s the one that’s allowed this to
02:57
go forward and don’t forget this is
02:59
something i try to mention often there
03:01
was that guy in the red hat the trump
03:03
supporter of the maga
03:04
maga hat that got assassinated on the
03:06
streets of portland
03:08
his shooter was eventually uh tracked
03:10
down and killed in an exchange with
03:12
police
03:13
but he was part of a team of you know 20
03:15
or 30 people
03:17
and antifa filmed the shooting
03:20
for training purposes i guess they
03:22
wanted evidence of what they were doing
03:24
or
03:24
or a record of what they were doing i
03:26
should say and so they filmed it that is
03:28
out there you can see the film where the
03:30
surveillance team
03:31
the spotter sees the guy the red hat
03:33
coming around the corner calls them out
03:35
the team that comes in afterwards in the
03:37
car picks up the
03:38
shell casings and kind of draws
03:40
attention back to the shooter off of
03:42
them
03:42
and a car waiting for the shooter a
03:44
block down that he ran down and jumped
03:46
into and drove away all that stuff so
03:48
this is a larger team
03:50
everybody knows that took place
03:51
including mayor wheeler
03:53
everybody knows that information is out
03:55
there including portland police
03:57
i i would hope that the
04:00
police would have loved to go after that
04:01
entire team and arrest every one of them
04:04
and put them in jail for this accident
04:07
certainly a hate crime and yet they’re
04:09
not able to do it
04:10
and it’s because the mayor does not have
04:13
their back they know he doesn’t have
04:14
their back and they’re in a
04:16
horrible horrible position not a good
04:17
time to be in law enforcement in
04:19
portland oregon
04:20
but this goes to the larger picture
04:22
there’s something been talking
04:24
off and on here for a very long time and
04:26
that is
04:27
that the democratic party is out of
04:29
their freaking minds
04:31
with what they’re allowing to go forward
04:33
with antifa
04:35
and these other groups they think they
04:37
can control them remember a few when
04:39
this first iteration of this takeover
04:41
portland came
04:42
out mayor wheeler went down there
04:45
and was going to like get up on a
04:48
podium with these uh antifa guys you
04:51
know raise fists and say
04:53
you know we’re all in this together
04:54
brothers and sisters and we’re gonna
04:56
fight back against trump
04:57
instead he got heckled and jeered and
04:59
chased off and had to run
05:01
and leave so that he didn’t get overrun
05:03
by the antiva guys who would have
05:05
probably punched him around a bit
05:07
so they are not friends and this is a
05:11
very very good indicator of this
05:14
deep divide that exists within the
05:16
democratic party
05:18
and these groups the these socialist
05:21
uh hard left progressive um
05:24
democrats who are in the these places
05:27
like portland in control
05:28
and these really hardcore left communist
05:30
groups like antifa
05:32
not that there’s a huge difference
05:33
between those two things
05:35
but they’re completely separate factions
05:37
and they hate each other
05:39
and so this is where uh
05:43
recognizes that he cannot just allow
05:45
these buildings to be burned down in
05:46
downtown portland
05:47
and turn it into a you know derelict
05:49
dead zone
05:51
and that he’s got to start to do
05:52
something so he’s he’s
05:56
a faced had to face up to the fact
05:59
that he’s got to do something and that
06:01
those guys are his enemy along with
06:03
everybody else
06:04
and that he’s got to do something so
06:05
that’s why we’re starting to see this
06:06
change
06:07
and i think again as you mentioned
06:09
earlier i think embarrassing trump was
06:10
certainly part of it but now
06:12
it’s gone far enough that he just has to
06:14
stop it because he can’t allow the city
06:16
to actually be destroyed so uh now
06:18
they’ve of course refused
06:20
federal help already out of hand without
06:21
even you know without even discussing it
06:23
and they’re going to try to take care of
06:24
this locally but again as i say
06:28
if the the portland police
06:31
they recognize that the mayor does not
06:33
have their back
06:34
they do not have political support there
06:36
so they’re they’re dangling out in the
06:38
wind
06:40
they are not going to take decisive
06:42
action
06:43
against antifa because they know that
06:46
the mayor would probably still
06:48
rather support anti-fan and conflict
06:50
than he would his own police force in
06:52
portland
06:53
so it’s one of those things that is not
06:55
going to have a happy ending it’s not
06:56
going to work out
06:57
mayor wheeler is not going to be able to
06:59
step in and take control of the stuff
07:00
with what what forces are available to
07:03
him in portland
07:04
so to be fixed i think what he’s banking
07:08
on is to start this problem
07:10
wait for biden to be inaugurated and
07:12
then go and say okay well now we have an
07:14
understanding federal government and the
07:17
good guys are in charge again so now
07:19
we’re going to bring in federal
07:20
troops to go quell this thing and then
07:22
he’ll take advantage of that to just
07:24
absolutely kick
07:24
and keep his ass there so we’ll see how
07:26
all this works out we’ll see what antifa
07:28
is willing to tolerate
07:30
there too because let’s not forget as as
07:32
you and i have discussed and in these
07:34
interviews many times
07:35
antifa while horizontally organized is
07:38
enormous international they have
07:39
serious uh financial backing
07:43
in these areas they’ve been bringing in
07:44
arms and munitions for a long time
07:47
they’re seen walking around carrying
07:49
assault style route rifles i’m assuming
07:51
they are they’re
07:52
they are ar-15s which is still uh you
07:55
know pretty good weapon
07:57
and and for in an urban situation it’s
07:59
more than enough
08:01
and um i just i don’t know that the
08:05
the police are going to come as well
08:06
armed to the party if that’s how it
08:08
turns out or the federal troops that
08:09
show up
08:09
depends on who does it and how but i
08:11
think the
08:12
the biden administration would not go in
08:15
very uh strong-handed so
08:18
it would be a situation where it would
08:19
be interesting to see
08:21
does antifa accept
08:24
backing down under a biden
08:26
administration or
08:27
not because they’re not friends this
08:29
divide exists all the way up to that
08:30
level
08:31
and it could easily turn into a very
08:33
ugly situation so
08:35
this is this is playing out in a very
08:36
interesting fashion and portland’s going
08:38
to be a
08:38
place for us to keep an eye on here over
08:40
the next two three months
08:42
there is an amazing scene in the movie
08:44
cabaret for those people who remember
08:46
that 1970s film
08:48
where they are driving through the
08:51
german countryside
08:53
and a young man starts to sing tomorrow
08:56
belongs to us and by the end of the song
09:01
everybody in the beer garden is standing
09:03
and giving the hitler salute
09:05
and one of the principal characters the
09:07
movie turns to the driver
09:09
who was supporting the nazi party and
09:11
says
09:12
do you still think you can control them
09:17
and i think my question to
09:20
all of the democrats and leftists in the
09:22
united states that have a fantasy that
09:24
antivo was their personal street army of
09:26
thugs to deal with republicans
09:29
do you still think you can control them
09:31
if they do they’re stupid because
09:33
they’ve got the tiger by the tail and
09:34
that’s that’s exactly their problem
