00:04
hi so today we have Brad Johnson on a
00:07
show he’s a favorite of ours he is the
00:08
president for Americans for intelligence
00:11
reform Thank You Brad for joining us a
00:13
pleasure thank you so the first question
00:15
we wanted to talk to you about is when
00:17
an article you put out where you were
00:18
discussing president Trump’s new pick
00:21
for the DNI which is a Radcliffe I
00:24
believe correct John Radcliffe a
00:26
congressman from Texas who I think is a
00:30
superb pick I know there has been some
00:32
consternation over him as a selection
00:35
but I think people don’t understand the
00:37
full depth of what’s going on with this
00:39
move and and let me say now John
00:42
Radcliffe I think is is a superb pick
00:44
and let me say why now the critics of
00:47
him are saying that he just does not
00:49
have that background in intelligence but
00:51
there’s been a lot of people that have
00:53
had some background intelligence that
00:55
haven’t done that good of a job exactly
00:56
he comes in and he’s the type of guy
00:59
that understands how the process works
01:01
but when he gets to those points where
01:04
he bumps up against something out of
01:07
intelligence specifically that he may or
01:09
may not understand well enough he’ll go
01:11
and confirm it he’s not such a prideful
01:13
person that he’s he’s so hesitant to go
01:16
say you know to person you know that he
01:19
trusts and knows who is an expert in
01:21
that stuff he’s not afraid to go to that
01:22
person and say hey look give me the give
01:24
me the lowdown on this how does it all
01:26
work
01:26
okay and so he’s that type of
01:27
personality so he’s going to come in and
01:30
is perfectly willing to go figure things
01:32
out and is not arrogant and going to
01:35
assume that he knows everything and make
01:36
snap decisions so he’s going to look at
01:39
all of this and the other part of it is
01:40
he understands how bloated DNI has
01:43
become the Office of the Director of
01:46
National Intelligence it was originally
01:48
intended to be maybe a hundred people or
01:50
50 or 60 people and suddenly it’s a cast
01:52
of thousands so he understands this
01:55
bloating and mission creep and all of
01:58
this that has gone on so he’s well
02:00
positioned and probably one of the best
02:03
picks that that’s out there that can
02:06
come in take control get it back to its
02:08
original purpose and make it an
02:09
effective organization versus this
02:12
bloated organization that we have now
02:13
plus we want someone who’s going to
02:16
maybe shake
02:17
– we want to see someone you know come
02:19
into these organizations and maybe look
02:21
at it from a different perspective
02:22
that’s another thing I like about him
02:24
so the other person we want to talk
02:26
about is president Trump’s pick for mark
02:28
Meadows what is your feeling on him
02:30
again mark Meadows out of the House of
02:33
Representatives a congressman and one of
02:35
the leaders in the freedom caucus so
02:38
conservative budget oriented and again
02:41
understands these processes that are out
02:44
there and how bloated so many of these
02:46
agencies have become mission creep and
02:48
overlap that I mentioned all the time or
02:51
in relation to this because that is such
02:53
a large part of our problem now also if
02:55
you take a close look at these two
02:57
individuals
02:58
I think the Trump administration has
03:01
made a very interesting turn and there’s
03:04
always a learning curve it’s one of the
03:05
things you observe with every president
03:07
when they become president the first
03:08
couple years or so are learning how to
03:10
do this job there’s no way to really
03:12
prepare to become president because it’s
03:14
a unique position so these people come
03:17
in as presidents and it takes him that
03:20
learning curve time to come up to stop
03:21
President Trump has now made that turn
03:24
he’s turned the corner on that
03:25
understands it no longer behind the
03:27
power curve on personnel issues and
03:29
we’re starting to see select people
03:31
being sent home let go new people coming
03:36
in for the first time over the next year
03:39
and immediately after elections we’re
03:42
going to see president Trump finally
03:44
bring in his own team and with this move
03:47
to the chief of staff and these new
03:49
people that we’re seeing come in are the
03:50
first step in that so anyone who is a
03:53
trump supporter has to understand how
03:56
important this is and how big of a
03:58
positive this is because that is what
04:01
has happened he’s figured it out he
04:02
knows that there’s a lot of people in
04:04
there stabbing him in the back he
04:05
understands that’s out of the
04:07
intelligence community – we’ve seen with
04:09
the testimony on the hill on how that
04:11
was done and who’s doing it and he’s
04:13
finally got this figured out he was
04:15
trusting and believed that once people
04:18
saw that he was genuinely interested in
04:21
doing the business of the nation in
04:23
doing what’s best for the United States
04:24
of America that they would join him he
04:27
now understands that that just ain’t
04:29
gonna
04:29
it’s not gonna happen you know so now he
04:32
understands he needs to bring his team
04:34
and what we’ve seen is the foundation
04:36
laid for that team and I this it’s I
04:39
can’t be possibly more pleased about the
04:42
turn of events there and we’re going to
04:43
see bigger changes yeah big changes take
04:46
place in personnel and we’ve already
04:48
seen out of NSC there were what 70
04:50
people sent back now a lot of people are
04:52
criticizing that saying they were fired
04:53
that again is a lie and a manipulation
04:55
of the facts no one there at NSC was
04:59
fired they all come from someplace else
05:01
NSA CIA FBI military they all come from
05:06
someplace else so when they leave in
05:07
Asik they go back to their parent agency
05:09
so all they did was go back to whatever
05:12
job they had to go back to eventually
05:13
anyway
05:14
yeah that’s all so so you said something
05:16
in this article that I read that you
05:18
wrote about how the IC has become
05:20
politicized I think most Americans don’t
05:22
understand that and I don’t know if you
05:24
could explain how or what that means
05:27
well there’s and this is one of the
05:29
initiatives that Americans for
05:31
intelligence reform we’re always working
05:32
on and that is to reform issues like
05:35
this so what has happened and the way
05:37
that this has all been taken over was
05:39
the the pipeline to leadership and the
05:42
hiring process so now I like to use the
05:45
FBI not because I want to pick on them
05:47
in particular but it’s just that they’re
05:48
an open organization and easier to use
05:51
as an example because there’s so much
05:53
information out there so for example a
05:55
hiring practice is now at the FBI
05:56
there’s a lot of questions about like do
05:59
you want to be a justice warrior well we
06:01
all know what that means that means are
06:02
you a liberal and so but that’s part of
06:05
the official hiring practice so those
06:06
are the types of people that they bring
06:08
in if you’re not a liberal now in the
06:10
halls of government in the intelligence
06:12
community basically have to keep your
06:14
head down your mouth shut
06:15
well that’s not what we need I feel like
06:17
that’s discrimination it is
06:19
discriminatory
06:19
I might conservatives are not a
06:21
protected class all below perhaps they
06:23
should be it is discriminatory yes it is
06:26
because basically it’s it’s a type of
06:28
good old boy network just playing come
06:31
come to life again
06:32
and so if you’re not part of that little
06:34
of the club or the clique then you don’t
06:36
move up and the way that this is
06:38
manipulated and this is government-wide
06:40
now
06:41
promotions are very carefully protected
06:44
so that under the EEO rules and all of
06:47
this anyone that can is protected but
06:49
there are certain things you have to do
06:50
in every one of these agencies to be
06:52
promoted
06:53
there are ticket punch responsibilities
06:56
that you have to have had as you go up
06:58
those become more difficult and more
07:01
rare the way that you get those items is
07:04
by the job you’re given and the way it’s
07:06
manipulated is who gets what job and if
07:09
you’re not in the old boy network that’s
07:11
not gonna you’re not going to get those
07:13
yeah that’s and you’re farmed out that
07:15
is how they’ve taken over the CIA the
07:17
FBI NSA State Department very long time
07:20
ago and this carries over into other
07:23
places Department of Education interior
07:24
all of these places have been taken over
07:26
the critical aspect of this from my
07:28
perspective is the intelligence
07:30
community that has to be cleaned out
07:33
because what happens is if you are so
07:35
strongly in a political bent what you do
07:38
is you filter the information through
07:40
this prism of your political beliefs
07:42
exactly and what we do not do then at
07:44
that point is take the very best
07:46
information and pass it on to
07:48
decision-makers and that gets people
07:51
killed it gets us in trouble it degrades
07:53
our national security and it’s supremely
07:56
important it has gotten so bad the IC
08:00
the intelligence community as a whole
08:01
the 17 agencies including the DNI who
08:05
heads this all up creates a document
08:08
every four years that comes out timed to
08:10
the new president so every four years
08:12
whenever a president is not graded this
08:13
document comes out it’s meant to look
08:15
five to 20 years out into the future
08:17
this past one that was done when Trump
08:19
got elected previously after the 2016 it
08:22
came out in early 2017 yeah there was
08:26
more in that report on global warming
08:29
than there was on terrorism I mean you
08:32
you have to look at the leadership of
08:35
the intelligence community and go you’re
08:37
all fired
08:38
this is idiocy you know first of all
08:40
just taking a look at on the face of it
08:43
of global warming it’s a silly thing
08:44
there is zero proof zero evidence that
08:47
global warming even exists
08:49
now they have models showing what
08:51
happens if the temperature goes up
08:52
outside of that there’s nothing and
08:54
that’s not proof of anything that’s
08:56
merely if it does go up what will it
08:57
look like and it’s a you know global
09:00
warming really should be called
09:02
terraforming that’s the actual
09:03
underlying word that was always used for
09:06
this concept and it’s been manipulated
09:08
for political reasons but there isn’t
09:10
anyone that knows how to terraform not
09:12
only isn’t there is there no existence
09:14
of a way to or or a program or a system
09:18
to terraform there’s not even any
09:19
theories of how to do it and the problem
09:22
are the amounts of gas is what we’re
09:24
calling greenhouse gases today that man
09:27
puts out into the atmosphere we’re
09:28
talking one millionth of a percent in
09:30
many cases of the amount that’s out
09:32
there and the gases that are in the
09:34
atmosphere naturally fluctuate by much
09:37
larger amounts than that for example you
09:38
could see a 10% fluctuation in the water
09:41
vapor in the air overnight and a 10%
09:44
fluctuation in that area where you’re
09:46
comparing it to one one millionth of a
09:48
percent of some gas that’s out there
09:50
that’s put out by man I mean there’s
09:52
just no way to separate those out the
09:53
fact is that the Sun is the single
09:56
largest factor period anyone that
09:58
doesn’t recognize that fact as what
10:00
heats up the earth is just you know they
10:03
live in an alternate bizarro universe
10:04
that’s just a plain fact so in the the
10:10
report that came out and Trump obviously
10:13
got that icy report what would you have
10:16
wanted to be in there what was missing
10:18
from that report that should have gone
10:19
to Trump when he first came into office
10:21
well a number of things one of them
10:23
needs to be who we recommend to be on
10:26
the reports for terrorist organizations
10:27
that’s a key missing factor and what
10:30
we’ve seen and this is based on some of
10:32
what happened during the Obama years
10:33
Muslim Brotherhood has been overlooked
10:35
it is a terrorist organization but there
10:38
are political problems out there right
10:39
now because the Muslim Brotherhood and
10:41
Turkey are working hand in glove they’re
10:44
essentially extensions of each other now
10:47
the strongman air daguan in in Turkey
10:49
and he has been named by the head of
10:52
Muslim Brotherhood to be the next leader
10:55
of Islam so he’s working to establish
10:58
the Neo Ottoman Empire
11:01
a new Ottoman Empire and so that’s what
11:03
he’s after that’s why you see him trying
11:06
to essentially invade lands in Syria and
11:08
take over areas because he wants to
11:10
expand that empire so this the Muslim
11:13
Brotherhood has been overlooked because
11:15
of all the politics laid in place by
11:16
Obama that is one of the things that
11:18
should have been addressed by this and
11:20
it has not been so the lone wolf issue
11:23
is something is very important to me
11:24
personally and it’s one of those things
11:25
at the end that the intelligence
11:27
community should be all over and are not
11:29
and it’s a deceptive practice on their
11:32
part that really irritates the the great
11:34
a or takes me a great deal else a nice
11:36
yeah and the the problem with that is is
11:40
essentially there’s no such thing as a
11:41
lone wolf lone wolves there is big
11:44
departments at Isis for example and
11:48
different terrorist groups al Qaeda
11:49
where all of they do is troll the
11:52
internet and these are highly trained
11:55
well-paid professionals who that’s how
11:58
they spend their time and what they’re
12:00
doing is constantly trolling the
12:01
internet looking for susceptible
12:03
individuals that are weak on in one form
12:06
or another they then recruit them online
12:09
trained them online and send them out to
12:12
do these acts many times they pre record
12:15
their suicide messages before that
12:17
appear later on but one of the things
12:20
they’re also trained to do is they erase
12:21
all tracks electronic tracks because
12:25
there’s different types of software and
12:28
apps that can be used and they erase
12:30
them all before they go out and do their
12:32
their terrorist act so the police come
12:35
in and look at this and go well we don’t
12:36
have any proof so therefore we don’t
12:39
know the motive so therefore this is a
12:41
lone wolf that is on the on the part of
12:44
law enforcement I don’t blame them
12:48
specifically because this is an
12:50
intelligence act and they’re in law
12:52
enforcement so their standard is to find
12:54
proof that they can use in court
12:57
unfortunately this isn’t that problem
12:59
and so we’re using the wrong tool
13:02
against the problem here exactly and
13:04
it’s an intelligence issue that needs to
13:06
be worked that way where you go in and
13:08
start tracking back but every one of
13:10
those lone Wolf’s was in contact was
13:12
spotted online they were recruited
13:15
online they were trained online and then
13:18
they covered their tracks that were
13:20
online and then they went out and did
13:22
the terrorist act that is what people
13:24
are calling lone wolf that is a
13:26
deceptive lie and part of what I’m
13:29
saying of how they cover up the truth
13:31
that’s important if the IC was on this
13:34
reporting the truth
13:35
then we would know what we need to do is
13:38
use our intelligence agencies and anyone
13:40
else that’s cooperating with us overseas
13:41
and go find those offices where these
13:45
guys are trying to recruit people online
13:47
and take them out yeah that is what we
13:50
now ship it down that’s not happening
13:52
because of politics and people are dying
13:55
as a result yeah this is BS and those
13:58
guys are completely a response this is
14:01
one of the things that we have to
14:02
correct that’s what was missing from the
14:03
report that Trump should have gotten
14:05
like I said they talked about global
14:07
warming did two or three to one compare
14:10
that terrorism yeah that’s just so
14:12
deeply irresponsible i president Trump
14:14
is beginning to figure this out but he
14:16
needs to fire the vast majority of
14:18
leadership and start over to get people
14:20
who are actually dedicated Patriots who
14:23
respect the Constitution United States
14:26
and understand what it is to have strong
14:29
national security and strong
14:30
intelligence and we don’t have it
14:32
